I got ReactOS v.0.2.x on a cd sitting right here. Been meaning to try it out for awhile now, especially since I have UT and DeusEx to test it with.

I still have my AOL 1.0 on
I was a user from the first version until 1999 when I got broadband. Actually I kept aol even after I got broadband, because I was used to it and I liked it. I changed my account settings with them to BYOC (bring your own connection) which made their monthly charge like $9.00 since I wasnt using their dial-in system. One day a bunch of months later I noticed they charged me 18.00 on my cc statement. I looked back on my statements and found out it had been going on for like six months, and I was never notified. This coupled with the fact that I pretty barely used the service (except for the email here and there) is what caused me to quit their service. I dont think anyone takes kindly to getting charged double for a contracted rate, and was never even notified. Then to top it off they made it a pain in the ass to quit. "Can we record your voice", "Are you sure you want to quit", "are you really sure"... ffs.

Anyway that was back in 1999-2000, and I havent looked back. Luckily around that time you still had control over the software and it wasnt that bad. My experience with the software going forward was mainly from friends and customers that I did pc upkeep for, who insisted on using AOL. Phone call: "Hey CR, I am gonna put AOL on my computer, ok?" "Sure, don't call me when it blows up" To each his own I guess.
