Great alternative for door access. Keep thinking!

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

Hi there,

your model looks very nice, and the idea is original. I know it's some extra work, but to make it really cool I would add a small animation when the scanner is operating, so that you see a small laser beam going from left to right for a few seconds, until the authentication process is complete.
Keep up the good work
Cheers,

Caleb

Not bad, not bad. The actual green bit looks very out of place though. For one thing, it is rather warped, and secondly, its a rather bright colour of green.. If someone was shining that in your eye, you would struggle to keep it open! Try making your own scanner texture, to get it fitting better. I think by the pixellation, you found that texture somewhere, or saved it on a document that was too small.
Still, looking rather good again.

Actually the whole texture is original. what happened is I made the scanner lens too large, when I reduced the size I forgot to smooth the image out to compensate for it.

You know what would be cool?
If you gave the retinal scanner a script so when the player came close to it instead of "reading the pattern" it did damage to the eye or a spike came out of the scanner and did damage to the player.
Looking good,Innovator.
You might try releasing a "clean/new" texture and a "dirty/old" texture for the models...You know how some people around here hate clean models.
But Locrian does have a point.
A lot of stuff (including quite a bit of stuff I have done) looks all clean and shiny and realistically most stuff doesn't look that way for long.
I have been adding scratches, erosion and stuff like that to my textures of late.
I'm not knocking your stuff because it is good...it's just something that I have notcied lately about a wide variety of stuff from a lot of people.
Just trying to help.

I like it. It would be cool if you made two textures... one could have a dark gray or black lense for inactive and the other could be the green for active. Using the "alttexture=" command you can animate it when the plr uses the enter key.

Nue B. or not Nue B. That is the question.
