Oh my God! Are you impatient or what? It's christmas today which means spending time with the family and that is what I was doing. Were you expecting me to post it 12:00 midnight? Yes I have got the download with me but in future show a bit more consideration.

Everyone else, the M1 Garand is in an installer so it will install by default to the WW2 guns directory. Have a merry christmas...

Opposing Force,
Thanks for the M1.
I appreciate you posting this on Christmas Day.
It is a holiday and you should take the day off.You deserve it.
My apologies for some of the rude and insensitive members of our forum.
Thanks again for the weapon and have a great Christmas!

You know Johny, it's that kind of pestering and ungratefullness that will drive people away from spending their time on making things for the community for free.

Pestering someone on Christmas day for something free, isn't a criticism. Pestering someone for something free on any day is annoying.

Great work on the model!

Can you get rid of the hands by any way? I would like the weapon to go with the rest of the fpsc ww2 weps

JohannesM, yes you can get rid of the hands. If you look in the guns/WW2/M1 directory you will find a file "M1_no hands.jpg". Open up the gunspec file and change...

textured = m1garandtex2.jpg

to

textured = M1_no hands.jpg

now when you load FPSC again the M1 won't have any hands.

Thank you O.F, I like you - you're my friend. I like people who give to the community, especially when it's a weapon and it has editabubble hands! Thanks again, you're a cooly bean!

EDIT - How would I go about changing the hands to "Covert" from Mp5?
EDIT - It works (kind of) do you like it?

Phlum, thanks. Yeah the texture looks great. Good job.

By the way everyone I have decided that my next world war 2 weapon will be an MP40 complete with a textured German arm. This will offer a better animation opportunity. The reason for my choice was because my brother is making a world war 2 game and he wanted to use my M1 Garand, so I offered to make him some more weapons. There might be a possible new years release so keep watching this thread for updates.

I feel that my noob slap was unnecessary. I was merely joking when I called Blaine damage a "chav" in his thread. The moderator who noob slapped me should of thought a bit more, before he did it.

You violated the AUP (again) and you are lucky it wasn't a ban.
You might have thought it was funny.
I didn't...and I am sure a lot of others didn't either.
And Blaine may not have found it funny.
Maybe you should have taken all of that into consideration.
There are a lot of forum members who never get banned or slapped.
Maybe you ought to read their posts and pick up whatever technique that they are using...
Or you could keep your posts within the boundaries of the AUP.

Opposing force, joking around with insults is like playing with fire, I'm never saying the "G D" words again after my ban (10 days for a single use!)

On topic, Thanks for the gun, I had to make the muzzleflash smaller but other than that it's brilliant!
