Well guys, I decided to try my hand at Character modeling, this is my first character model that I made from scratch, I made a custom attack animation for it and it comes in two versions.
Version 1 standing idle until you are in range the he runs after you and attacks
Version 2 crouching idle until you are in range the he crawls fast after you and attacks
Let me know what you think

Enjoy

You can download it here

Thanks Guy's

LOL!, It does look like he's going to pimp slap me I guess I didn't pay attention to that maybe I'll try cupping his hand more.
I was going to use one of bond1's new biped files but it would not work because he made the new ones in Max 8 and I'm using Max 7, so max 7 would not let me use a max 8 biped, so I had to make my own animation, it wasn't that hard to make using auto key frames, also I made a howling animation also its anim9 = 2548,2580 in both characters fpe file, I haven't worked out the sound sync to the howling animation yet but I will and there will be and update

Hey guy's I just edited the animation by cupping his hand so it looks more like a scratching action instead of a pimp slap, the download has been updated already on my site.

and thanks for all the feedback

Ahhh...thats really close, mile wise, to Flint. I see now why animation came out more pimp like. Though I've been meaning to get over to Flint to take some pictures of buildings for the "run down" look, your wolfman means you must have been over in the Martin L King/ Ave A. /Prospect, area to get some resources. Watch slowin down over there, or ya may loose your camera(or your life).

hehe...anyways, hello neighbor.

Ya Locrian,I live a few blocks away from da'hood or what I like to call KEVLAR country, I grew up in the north end Mt.Morris Beecher area so you can understand were the pimp slap came from in my character, all he needs now is an Escalade with some 22" wheels and he can roll down saginaw st. LOL.

There is a lot of Tutorials that come stock with Max 7 but they are text follow along I find it harder to learn that way I'm more of a watch and learn person, I purchased the Game development series 1 and 2 for Max 7 they were made for exporting your finished models into the Unreal game engine but they will work for any game engine, they cover Subdivision modeling, UV mapping, Unwrapping, rigging and animation.

Here's a picture of my Max 7 paraphernalia

I'm the exact opposite. I find all the tutorials that come with max much better then anything else I've seen. Them not only giving the writen text, but like 8 stages of a models progresion in max form allows me to follow along with the tut and then look at the max file for the stage I'm supposed to be at in the tut. It's really to each his own on these methods, but one thing that seems to be agreed upon between Chupas and my method, is that max tutorials you find on the web certainly lack all the needed steps when comparing it to a Max series or the supplied documentation.
