if these games are at least 7 years old, google "abandonware"

it is NOT legal, but the only way to get older games besides ebay.

i would normally not recommend this to someone, but I am doing alot of research and this looked like a good place to bring it up.

i have some question:

1. What is your opinion on the legality of abandonware?

2. Do you have any links to articles on abandonware or downloading old media in general?

Try a search on Amazon.com. Both are listed.

Zaibatsu,

There's no such thing as "Abandonware" unless the copyrite has run out (it's 80 years for a copyrite, isn't it?), or the people who held the copyrite have released it to the public.

Please don't continue any more discussion on illegally obtaining games.

UnderLord,
Google: JetFighter 4: Fortress America buy
http://www.google.com.au/search?q=JetFighter+4%3A+Fortress+America+buy
Google: F-22 Lighting 3 buy

A simple search is all that's needed

50 years after the death of the author is the usual for copyright material, however that does not count for family members picking it back up.

case in point JRR tolkiens family.

Try contacting the company you never know what will happen. around 1995 I was looking for Bards Tale III for the PC, I had owned it for the c64, but could not find it anywhere. I actually called EA, the first person I got passed me to some unknown drone in the office and when I told him what I was looking for he said he thought he had a set of the disks around somewhere (they were quite old and the compilation was not yet released). He took my address down and just mailed me the disks and a codewheel for nothing.

if they are old and out of "print" so to speak, you wont find them in stores, unless you find a store that has used/collectibles type stuff.
