Hey nice!

The fog worked out really well, take note kids: Fog can be used to look like bloom.

The lighting is really good and the entity is realistic. Is it modelled on your school?

It looks cool and the fog gives it a nice horror feeling to it. What are you going to be using for characters?

lol...I'm sure it's always great to look at these post and see an item here,or see an item there, that you've made and given to the community.....Kinda funny though seeing almost all your work used exclusivly with very few other contributors(meaning tgc or private).

Glad you liked it man. Least you jumped on the band wagon and got the first game out..

Good luck on this though

I like the layout, lighting, and the models of course. The ceilings are too low using just one level though. I would go for two levels and use that nice bulkhead LOC made, and maybe some pipes.

Looks good and interesting.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

Thanks!,im going to delete some lights and replace them by 1 light soon,as...well hate 9FPS when looking into the fog towards the end of the hall.

Nope...that one is a little more detailed and more round.

as soon as my PC is working again ill have to re-make a part anyway.like setting some stuff to static and such.

I will be changing the next few stuff soon:

-Lightning in a room(every room has 4 lights.want 1 or 2 in every room.
-No dynamic objects
-Higher ceiling,i just noticed it looks bad on the screeny's and XplosyX told me too
-Adding freaky voices from the deep(Almost done!)

for now everything is silenced in the game until you walk in my freaky sound zones

The cafetaria i need to re-build.its too large so it slows down gameplay alot.(Maybe this prevents that i need to remove lights.)

i'd like to post a screeny of my work i havent posted yet...but those are on my crashed PC!

POD,

I think you should use something else than zombies, there are so many zombie games, I fear this game isn't going to be standing out. Use the dragon and pitcrawler and the wolfman chupa cabra made.

Thanks, JM

What settings did you use to create the subtle fog? I've tried and everything seems to turn out bright white!

Nice one, dude. The fog makes it look original and entities are placed well and realistically. There's still something I don't like about in those screenies. I can't say what it is, maybe it's the brightness. Perhaps you would tone down the ambience lightning a bit, but that's not necessary if you want to keep it as it is. I can't say anything constructive about the actual level desing before I can test it myself. Keep it up.

Ambient lightning is 5,but all lights are 100% white, have to re-do that too.

And good news guys,my PC is back from hell.however,it doesnt run as good as it did,my processor is like 30% damaged and my motherboard replaced.(i realy need a new system...)

Well,i might also just get a little help from someone, however.im not sure.As i'd like to finish this one alone actualy.

5 is fine. Just tone down the light markers. Glad to hear you got your computer back.

Found out why the game ran so slow, the whole cafeteria was Dynamic

But still, making the Cafeteria smaller and going to make a nice enemy in it and the end of the first level

Gotta watch those tables too POD. Though the items in that pack are bare bones with regaurds to poly count, that table, and it's folded counterpart, are reaching into the upper register of what I like in a static model. Many of the 'School Daze' pieces are under 150 tris but those tables are just slightly over 900. Though I made as good of use of squares as tubing as I could, the count for such a large object, and making it semi-realistic, and believeable, had it's toll on the final count. That one image alone you have 9k+ in just tables.

Good luck

Ah,that was a problem.im glad i reduced the tables to like,5 or so.

My computer is slow ATM due the fact i ran LOADS of memmory consuming stuff.so i cant test my game with a framerate higher then 3 FPS...

will have to re-boot.

OK,guys...

I had the full level 1 done, and wanted to build the game.but it seems now since V1.04 is installed.i had a limited amount of build games i could only build 4 and now test and build wont work anymore!

Even re-installing doesnt work.Oh well,on to coding then.

I like the look of the levels effects, but i feel the story-line is lacking potential. Also, you say "After a boring maths lesson etc" makes it sound like this is a teenager. Personally I wouldnt go with it being a young student using weapons, since it is a bad example... I would go with a teacher, instead. Also - Where would the weapons be from? I would steer away from the whole school thing, in my own case. It makes me sick to think about incidents such as columbine, and what may be at my own school. Anyway, I sound a right fruitcake, but its genuinly how I feel..
Keep working with the shaders and fog - It's looking awesome.

Dan

Edit: Just noticed there are shadows under the blood splats, meaning there is clearence between the entity and the floor. I would press enter to level it, and make it static, to help lower FPS.

Uhm...this is about a teenager, and all weapons you'll get are a ruler and some other school stuff

And well,Its not about murdering ALIVE things, everyone has fled or bein killed anyway...Its just to GET the hell out of there.
