I could, very much so.

I am a giant Chicago Bears fan, and I have been my entire life. They are the Chicago NFL team (NFL= National Football League, the biggest and best football league. I assume what you need explaining is on the NFL, and yes, that's where the Super Bowl is in.

There are 32 teams in the NFL. There are 8 divisions, and 2 conferences. In each division there are obviously 4 teams. There are 16 games. The team with the best record after those 16 games in their division makes it to the playoffs. BUT, there are 2 wild-card teams in each conference. These are the teams that did not win their divisions, but have the 2 best records for non-division winners.

So then we have 12 teams in the playoffs, but the top 2 in each conference get a bye.

In the first round, the Wild-Card Round, the Wild-Card team with the worst record plays the #3 seed in their conference, and #5 plays #4.

Then, the #1 seed plays the lowest seed that wins those, and the #2 takes on the higher one.

The winner of those teams play in the conference championship, which actually happens to be this weekend (I'll be at the Bears game ) where there are only 4 teams. There is 1 game in each conference, and the winners of those play in...

the SUPER BOWL!!!

and the winner of that goes wild yayyy

i see so in the nfl their is only 4 out of 32 left and theyle both have a match and then the winners play the super bowl. im guessing the superbowl is like the world cup as in the final.

and is it 16 games per division or for the whole tourny

16 games for each team is the entire season, so each win matters drastically. When it comes to the playoffs, it is single elimination, so one loss and you are done till next year. That is probably one of the big thrills in football, unlike alot of other sports where you play a best of X series, or their is a "round" and points leaders advance, football is all or nothing.

EDIT: By the By GO PATS!!, I want to see a Pats,Bears rematch after that fiasco in superbowl XX.

I bet 2 dollars (I'm a high-roller, no it's because I'm not confident in the Pats) with my friend there would be a rematch in the Super Bowl, lol.

Chicago should win, which is good for the Pats since New Orleans would be a worse match up.

Current Vegas Odds..

Team------------------Odds to win Superbowl XLI
Chicago Bears --------15/4
Indianapolis Colts ---3/2
New England Patriots -2/1
New Orleans Saints ---7/2

We can watch "international" football matches here, so I'm assuming (well guessing) that you can see them overseas.

When I was in the UK last year, I really wanted to watch the Steelers play one of their regular season games. That definately was no where to be found on any of the stations available at the hotel I was staying in. Since the NFL is currently in the playoff stages of it's season, you might be able to find the games on TV.

Gillypie, the Bears game is at 2 here, so 7 there (at night) so you could catch it.

On the other hand, the Patriots game is on at 7 here, so you wouldn't be able to get it there.

boo! Patriots! hiss!
You catch the games last week, omg they were all quite bland for play-offs. The Seahawks should've won, hate the whole sudden death rule. Wish they played out the whole of extra time, cause I reckon they could've brought it back and won.

Look forward to watching the games on Monday though. (ITV 1am)
Then the Superbowl is live, I just get back home for that! Got a weekend away celebrating my nan's birthday.

Actually I was glad that the games were all close, stinks when there are huge blowouts sometimes and you have to wonder "what the heck was that team even doing there". As for sudden death, I like it since it promotes not playing for a tie, or in the case of the playoffs pulling out all the tricks because you might not get the ball back.

Sometimes I think I'm the only American that hates football and is not homosexual.

I'm glad you like it, a lot of people do here. I just never got into it.

most of the kids in my school are completely mindless thinking that a college is going to pick them up because they can kick or throw a ball.

Next time I see them I won't say hello, I'll just say yes when they ask me if I want fries with my order.

looks like New Orleans got lucky that the temp is supposed to be about 30 degrees with wind chill around 13, Had it been a cold game I would think they were doomed.

Chop 'im, smash 'im!! Cut 'is 'ead off an' stick it on a pole!!!

I'm from Massachusetts...

If you're talking about the last game the patriots played... I actually saw that one (I think it was that one), though I'm not a huge football fan (unless the patriots are in the Superbowl). I thought it was pretty amazing how they came back right at the end from wht looked like a clear loss. Very surprising, but there's no point in saying what could have been, because what happened already happened. It's not that the Seahawks should have won because you disagree with one of the rules, but that they would have won, if if the Patriots hadn't pulled a win at the very end.

Chicago in January? that's a heat wave.

Couple of years ago I remember watching a Chicago/Greenbay game where the temp with windchill was around -40.
