First big snow of this winter. Central Ohio has been fairly warm for winter this year. But the other day, Cleveland got several feet. And this morning we got probably half a foot of snow. So I built what I was saying I'd build all winter, a snow demon.

Hey, that's pretty cool, you dyed it and everything! I suppose it's really about time we got some substantial snow here in Ohio. I'm just south of Cleveland by about a half hour drive, we didn't get very very much snow though, in total we have maybe 4 inches accumulated. If it's gonna be cold I like having snow, but I still can't wait for spring.

I went tobogganing yesterday which was pretty fun. I really should get a new snowboard... Winter can be more fun than I make it out to be.

Snow? Lucky b******s. We haven't had any this year so far, just rain, hurricane winds, the cold and for the first time this morning, hail. Now, its just clear skies and low wind. No snow...no snow fun.

Nice snow dude though, I'm sure if you made him yellow you would have save money on what ever you used to colour the dude

It snowed while the sun beat down(?), during what was easily the hottest part of the day. Suffice to say, it melted. Quickly.

I should hope so, if it snows a lot I may jst get a day off school, that would give me time to work on my game

That snow demon is cool, especially seeing as its all colourful, but if you're gonna ebay it then just make sure it doesn't melt otherwise you may end up with a pi*sed off customer

we got a few flakes (as in snow) this morning, zero accumulation though, have not had snow yet this winter. I don't mind though, a few years ago we got a little over 140" of snow for the season so none this year is fine by me.

Food coloring and a hairspray bottle, it took awhile. I had some yellow food coloring, I thought about having fun with the neighbors. Yellow snow on everybodys car would've been amusing.

All we got was rain and wind!
At my school, a huge great tree got blown down on my friend!
He was very lucky, and a branch went either side of him. He is now terrified of walking down where the tree used to be.

Yeah, me too. I sometimes have a tear in my eye when I'm sunbathing on the beach. Should be around 21 degrees (celsius) this week. Ahhh.....

Actually I'm sitting in my office working. Cruelly I can see the sea from my window and am being blinded by the sun. It's not all sunbathing and cocktails! Plus if I wander towards the centre of the island apparently there is a ski resort on one of the mountains. One of those rare places where you can ski in the morning and go sunbathing in the afternoon. Apparently (I don't ski).

Cheers

It's been snowing all afternoon here, though it seems to have stopped for now. We have a few inches I think, although it's hard to tell as it seems deeper in other parts.

So what's the average price for a house over there then? Seriously, I don't want to live in England once I finish uni, I just want to go to somewhere cheaper, nicer and more relaxed/laid back, I had thought of Sweden, but Cyprus and many other places have my ear.

My apartment cost me about £100k (Sterling, not CYP pounds). Is a 3 bedroom effort and not a bad size about a mile and a bit from the sea (can see the sea from balconies). Nicely my old house (near Ascot) went for almost a quarter of a million quid (about half a million dollars). Basically almost doubled in value in half a decade. Nice. My sister is looking to build her own house in Paphos for around the same price (£100k). But prices have gone up a bit and it's not so cheap to buy built houses with pools. Her rented place cost about £50k to build about 3 years ago, but it is pretty big with a decent pool (about 10 sun loungers take up about half the space around it). Now is more like £150-200k as the prices are going up. With the Euro properly coming in within a year or two everyone reckons the prices will sky rocket soon. Which is why I came out now.

Oh and it is pretty laid back (hardly anything open for a few hours in the afternoon, a lot of places closed on wednesday afternoon (like years and years ago in the UK apparently), and pretty much nothing but cafes are open on Sundays (really going back to the 80s on that one)). Apart from government officials. Cyprus men in positions of authority come across as complete a**holes. Still, probably the same in most countries.... Oh and the whole place feels a little like the 70s. Women dress like wh*res, big hair is in, and leapord skin is dead popular

Tis great (also because I have 2 home cinema stores on my street along with 4 computer stores (including 2 totally dedicated to games) within a mile of me). Heh, and DVD stores are seriously on the Arrrr side of piracy. I have about 5 or 6 on my street and having the owner of one of them explaining that "cinema" DVDs meant filmed with camcorders down the cinema so don't blame him for the quality makes me laugh.

Cheers

I see, not too much cheaper than England then, that's one thing that really puts me off when I leave home, prices have really risen on houses and if I want a job in what I do, I'll have to live near a main city, huge price tag, especially London, considering my parents house was £50k when they bought it and now is worth £200k, I saw a London apartment go for £700k, that's expensive.

Cyprus sounds nice, but I do suppose I'll go even less British But a good place for writing (which is odd, UK is probably best for it, but I'll see what happens when I leave uni, it is just over 3 years away)
