not sure. There is wireless access in the conference room, but given the design of the building, it's unlikely to reach the bedrooms.

I'm currently writing this on the floor of a GNER train, having failed to find a vacant seat (again). However, this'll be posted as soon as I get internet access again.

It was a very enjoyable convention - although getting to and from Leeds wasn't as much fun.

I would like to thank the BAtvinks for organising said meeting and for it being at such a nice place (complete with weird porter). I would also like to apologise for bailing out of Ravey's talk - alas, he chose the very time I had to leave in order to get home on Sunday (being only once service to London Kings Cross).

Lee's & Mikes were also interesting, but alas the bribes to leave the evil Microsoft system and embrace the Might Apple didn't work, which was a pity.

I would also like to thank myself for arrive, two hours behind schedule (due to initial track maintenance along the South Coast and accumalative train delays), but nevertheless arriving on the day I wanted, and in the correct year.

So, it is time to say cheerio and move completely to OSX.

I'd also like to add my thanks to that already expressed. It's definitely a big "thank you" to Mr. and Mrs. BatVink for organising the Convention and for videotaping it, as well as thanks to Lee, Mike, Ravey, Rick and Paul for their very interesting and well put together presentations.

On the assumption that there will be another convention next year (and let's hope there is) please can we have a 2 hour coding compo?

Just walked in the door. Only took 5ish hours. (How was your journey home Phillip? I hope it was better than your journey there).

It was great meeting up with people again, I had a great time. (Although that saturday morning hangover wasn't very pleasent, but becoming a tradition it seems )

Talks were great. Looking forward to seeing the new things coming out when they arrive.

Look forward to another event next year, though may find another way of getting to the convention as driving that distance with all those delays isn't much fun.

Time to mutext this typing and getting some sleep

As a first time convention attendee I found it very useful. The TGC presenters all did a great job with their presentations and I must send a BIG thank you to Steve & Michelle for doing a super job organising the Yorkshire TGC show!

Tonight Lee, Mike and Ravey are out on the town in Manchester, so no work gets done I guess till mid week!

Yes, the unmentionable news was certainly interesting, and the intricate use of cheese in the torture chamber was just remarkable, but alas, it can only be powered by Winsnooze machines (How do you want to be tortured today?).

I'm firming worshipping the might Apple now, and all of my stuff down is designed to be compatible with Linux (ARM and Intel), Mac and Windows, so I need something that can deal with all of them...

It would have been alright if there hadn't been rail maintenance between Chichester and my change point, delaying everything by 2 hours

And everyone decided they wanted to go on holiday too! So it was standing room only (both going and coming back).

But aside from that it was okay

Great time was had but taking well over 5 hours to drive there and 5 and a half hours hours to drive back to Essex was a dampener (the driving rain, stupid roadworks, broken down lorries, numerous accidents, half term holidayers, etc didn't help).

Thanks to the BatVinks for organising a fun weekend and thanks to TGC for the great talks (specially Ravey's).

Tired now. Going to bed to dream of Mutexes and peas...

I really enjoyed the convention - what an amazing bunch of people turned up!

Lee, Mike and myself actually ate a pizza round Mike's house and brainstormed before getting an eary night, rather than larging it up as was initially planned - I guess we are getting old!

I will be setting off shortly to return to the "Southern TGC Nerve Centre".

Thanks to everyone for making the convention great fun and very interesting. Big thanks to Mr & Mrs Batvink for doing an awesome job of organising the whole event.

I'm back in Germany. It's a shame that the convention was so short. It was great meeting all of you. I loved the presentations, I got great ideas from all of them. Lee's was fantastic and impressive, I learned a lot from RickV, Paul's was brilliant and taught me about something which I had no idea about, Mike's absolutely convinced me that Dark GDK is the way to go, and Ravey's gave me some fantastic ideas that I can apply to Geisha House.

Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Batvink for putting that all together! I'm quite happy to have been introduced to Tetley's and Guinness as well.

Note to self: Don't keep drinking pints of Tetley's - there will be an internal Mutex error eventually (as each time you drink one, the results will be different).
