Smitho,
Quote: "The object is attached. I didnt know how to assign the "Snap to wall" feature in the FPE, so I apolagise for that. Enjoy!"

Open up the fpe file for the entity in question and add this line:

forwardfacing = 1

I didn't know when I first started with FPSC and Bond had to tell me.

Yh, I might aswell say that I've lost anyway. But I kinda like it as I'm starting off modeling and I think It's pretty good.

If I judging I would go with FredP's extingisher cause Its got a good texture and It goes well In just about all rooms and it also fits in with the comp theme.

Just a question about the fan: I havn't downloaded it yet but is it a segment or entity??

Smitho's clocked scared me out of my mind when I looked at it.

wow; Iv'e been away for 3 days and I came back and i couldn't find the thread! I was searching all down the page and thought that maybe it had gone to page 2. After about 3 mins I realised it was right at the top...

I like all the new entries; but i'm going to stop commenting like loc is doing; I think thats a good idea for now. Choosing the 3 winners at the end of this is going to be really hard.

Keep em coming
Tyrano

Pretty good. But it has limited use unlike the fire extingisher which you find in just about all places, I'm not saying its rubbish and I agree with tyrano, nice use of transparency.

The only bad thing about it I can think of is that they stand out from the wall a bit to far dont they? My curtains are right up against the wall, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Its nice to see people taking part and I may Improve my entry Soon.

Good Luck,
Dup

I'm confused by the rules!
You said...

Quote: "Anyone can enter; but you can only have one entry per person."

Then, 4 sentences later you said...

Quote: "You can have as many entries as you like; but can only win one prize."

So, which is it?

( A ) "you can only have one entry per person"

or

( B ) "You can have as many entries as you like"

Thanks in advance.

Sorry this comp is a little dodgy at the moment; as it's the first one. In the first post it says this:
Quote: "You can have as many entries as you like; but can only win one prize. Each model will be judged indivudually; so you are graded on quality not quantity."
Whatever is in the first post is correct.
Good Luck
Tyrano

EDIT: Yeah I saw it said it twice; thanks for the heads up As youv'e heard this is the first comp, next months comp should hopefully run smoother

Oleg,
Thanks for the uber curtains.I haven't had time to download and check out everything but I have yet to see a bad entry yet.
Great work,guys.
DieRider,
You can download the models now.
Some people may revise their entries, however.
I have entered my final version of my fire extinguisher.
I have the stand alone version modeled and UV mapped and now I am texturing it.
Not for the compo but just to give people the option of a non mounted one.

You could just wait till the end; as we are compiling them all into a pack. Everymonth all entitys/segments will go into a free comunity model pack

i have an entry, but i'm still working on the texture. as it is now:

its a showerhead

EDIT: I have a feeling the texture will never get done, because i can't make metal textures...

My pack is an entity pack, it contains:

-snow man head
-snow man body
-snow man hat
-snow man arms
-2 blood splats
-3 ww2 signs
-2 knifes
-2 ddr pads
-bowling ball (actually rolls)
-bowling pins (can be knocked down by ball)

It's random, but the models are useful, I will prbobably throw in some furniture as well.

Look at it this way...you are trying to enter the contest.
It's not about winning a prize (although that would be nice).
I think it's about making a decent model pack for the community.
And competition either brings out the best or the worst in us.It really tells you what kind of person you are.
There's a lot more to this than win/lose.

I'm just poor as anything at the moment.... the money would pay for milkshape .

And I thought it was only the winners who got their work in the model pack??
