Thanks,s4

v5 has some lag on slower computers, but I was expecting to get there at some point. I've been pushing FPSC as far as I can. I think I have to back off now and lighten up a bit.

The next update, v5b, will be a cross between v4 and v5 and should be optimum for speed and detail. This will more than likely be the last update for this map. ')

Time zones are confusing. I'm GMT, so all the games you've been doing are in the middle of the night i think, lol.

I downloaded V4 and started it up... no body was hosting so I hosted...

At least I got to run around by myself and explore the level. I like the design, but since it was 4am here and the music was creepy, I turned it off, lol.

@Plystire: We usually play from 1900-2359 EST and later. It's not one long game, but that seems to be the window of opportunity for most people to find a game.

@nakidno: Your computer has a long history of not getting along with Phoenix. I understand why you got the CheckReg error, but the second one is basically saying that the program is not compiled correctly or an intance of an object has been called that either doesn't exist or has been disposed. Since you're the only person getting that error, there's not much I can do.

Now, that being said, I'm doing a major re-write of Phoenix this week and specifically addressing the encryption routines which seem to be causing the main issues. It's a lot of trial and error to find a single method that is supported on all versions of XP and Vista.

@Mr Makealotofsmoke: Thats not problem, I have that method in multiple spots and missed one of them when fixing the code yesterday. Out of curiosity, what OS and OS version are you using?

I'll fix this and re-issue the patch this afternoon.

UPDATE: 12 OCT 07

I figured out today that FPSC wasn't automatically including the gamelose.fpi when it copies files to the export folder. So I updated the game after manually copying it. This *should* prevent the game from crashing for those who lost a game.

I also re-coded the Phoenix executable to address Set and Check issues regarding the registry settings for Vista users.

The first post of this thread has the current download, the current patch for all previous downloads to this one and a new tool for testing if Phoenix should work on your computer. If you use this tool and get errors, please let me know via email so I can further improve Phoenix and get it as compatible with all OS versions as possible. ~DF

Looks good Dark! I'll download soon.

May I suggest you use the Shift or Ctrland 'R', to add more dinamic looks. It works great in my game.

@Inspire: Did you download the new update? Also, did you run the compatibilty tool? (download is in the first post).

You're still using XP Pro, right?

I downloaded the patch, was I supposed to download the update first?

And yes, Phoenix always runs fine, too.

I'm downloading the update right now, by the way, so I will play in about two minutes.

If you hold Shift and press one of the rotate keys, it rotates it at 1 degree.

If you hold CTRL and press one of the rotate keys, it rotates it at 10 degrees.

Hope it helps.

@Stoopid: Oh, that. Yeah I know how to rotate entities. I'm not going for a destroyed or disheveled look like your game. Thank for the input though.

@Inspire: Just do the update and forget the patch. I'm going to remove that link.

@Inspire: I wish you'd come on earlier dude. I have to get to sleep now. There may be someone playing still though. If you go to IGD.Net and post there, one of the "regulars" may come to life for a game.

Either way, We're looking to start up some more games tomorrow afternoon around 1400 EST.
