@Leander: I think we can get this resolved now. Please tell me your OS and OS version. What happens whey you turn of Spybot and try to run it?

@Woolfman: Liar!

@HockyKid: Open Network Connections, Right-Click on your active connection and click on Status. Click on Support. The IP Address listed is your internal IP (If using a router). The last three digits are what you need)

@OLLiDay: What does the message say?

No, Duplex won and FPSC freezes in MP. It's a bug they haven't fixed yet. Only the winner's computer doesn't freeze. I thought it was because the gamelose.fpi was not copied by FPSC to the export folder, but manually copying it there doesn't help.

Darkfact My system: PIV, WinXP SP2, 3.2 ghz, 1 GB ram, ATI Radeon 9600 128 MB. Yeah, I switched Spybot off but still that error. I even switched off my antivir, firewall and spybot but didn't work. It's because of Phoenix I think.

I've updated the PGPS testing tool to include launching emulated applications for guardian and sentry. Would you please use the updated tool and report to me your findings? I appreciate it greatly!

@Mr MakesLotsOfSmoke: That is really really strange that you'd get a form exception in the middle of running the application. I can only wonder at this point whether or not your current .Net is completely installed. Only a missing or corrupted DLL should cause that error. OR it was an OS glitch. FPSC gives me that error sometimes, but not often even though I've changed nothing.

@Mr Makealotofsmoke: Thanks for trying again. Could you please run it again and take screen shots of the screen before you know it will happen, after you get the message and then send me the error.txt if any? You said before that it happens on or around the Settings Menu after the sound. Does this mean that it happens before you click on the Launch button or does it happen when you click on the launch button? Believe it or not, this info will help us.

To keep this thread on topic, could you email me with the results please?

Darkfact I ran this Phoenix Sentry test yesterday. I get the message that Phoenix Sentry wants to change something in the Win XP registry. Spybot Search & Destroy says this. I allowed everything and the test was successful.

Your multiplayer game didn't ask for Spybot's permission. It just loaded, the progress bar appeared and then I got the error pasted last time.

I will try the new version now.

No problem. But I just see that you didn't update the multiplayer game, just the Phoenix test.

What shall I do now? Copy something from the Phoenix test folder to the DarkArena's game folder? Download DA again?

No, I just want you to run the new test. It will attempt to launch the tools just like Phoenix. If it's successful, then I have to determine why you're getting the error.

Once we get this sorted out, I'll get you a patch for the game. I will also give you a copy of Phoenix Professional since you've been so helpful.

It is the same problem as the one i posted on the first page (open file security diolg behind the game, and had to untick "show this message again" to get it to work). So its not just vita.

@olliday: Thanks man. My question now is what application is showing the message with the tick box? It's not PGPS. I think this is the same problem Leander is having, but he doesn't know how to get to the message window to untick the option.

Its Windows

This comes up behind when phoenix is loading the game (before the launch game screen). To get it to work, i have to open the gateway_*.exe separately and untick the check box then click OK so windows allows the gateway app without the warning. (This happens on both Vista and XP home)

Ive been watching the videos, there great, but why do i keep missing all the good games with loads of people!

@olliday: Okay I didn't realize that window shows up. XP Pro doesn't show it. At least mine does not.

After working with you, Leander and Mr. MakesLotsofSmoke, I've determined that I will remove all keyhooks and "always on top" windows. Those are throw-backs to original code anyway. Even with full access to your desktop, Phoenix protects in the same manner. The only reason I was maintaining the "always on top" windows was to keep the total immersion aspect alive and consistent.

Nah, I've caught a bug of some sort and I'm really tired today. I did manage to get night vision to work and I'll put it in the next release. You can see the demo video here.

I was going to play a game with Snipesoul, but I started to feel ill. Sorry guys. Tomorrow I'll feel better.

Hay Dark this is the most fun online FPSC game I've played. I was wondering if I can put it on a disk and give it to my frinds.

Hey, I played my first game today. Suddenly the game froze. Did I lose connection? Did the hoster quit? Or did somebody win? I read somewhere that as soon as you get 50 frags the game freezers for all other players. Is that true? That would...spoil much fun.

I haven't concluded that it's not my own fault yet. Well partly. The fpi is not automatically copied by FPSC to the export folder as it should, but I have been messing with the other FPIs and may have had something to do with it.

Hey man, I have a beta version of DA: Towers ready to upload. Can to take it for a spin? I just want to test for lag. There's not much there yet but the segment layout and lighting.
