Actually, it's meant to build on the idea that white people can't play basketball. The black dude is mocking the white guy without even trying. Because white people are SO bad at it...

Robo is still just as active as it was earlier.

The total time spent on a panel is usually 1-2 hours. I'll often start thinking of ideas when I'm just thinking, then spend about an hour drawing it. Considering this is on an almost daily basis and I have plenty of other stuff to attend to, this time investment seems quite fair.

But if you're reading this, n00b, allow me to explain why your outburst was completely unnecassary. To begin with, I meant to put lifeguard instead of coastguard. My bad. Second, that comic wasn't aimed at coastguards/lifdeguards in general. I have nothing but respect for all of them. Its one of those comics you have to take at face value. This particular lifeguard is doing the exact opposite of what he should be and that's what makes it funny.

So although it may be an easy misconception to make, don't fly off the handle next time.

Now stop harassing me.
