Thanks !
Dude I have so much planned I don't know where to start.

My commercial textures Dvds arrived yesterday so I still playing around with that already made 40 something rooms lol there is about another 8000 plus textures left *sigh*

However I have started with the animated vent fan should be another day or two before I'm hoping it will work one 100% you will also be able to switch it on via a switch.

I also made some new walls which like the previous ones about 10 different kinds.I always want half walls but I found a way around it.

Made some walls with different kinds of holes in them.

Some more vents.

I like my platforms so I decided I want platforms which are narrow compared to the 4x4 ones it's still on my to do list but I have done a rough sketch.A fire escape is first on the list

I made some ledges to add to the flat walls

Still have to make proper windows.

The list goes on and on so I guess you would just have to wait and see.

Thanks

I couldn't resist making a new segment well some stuff I'm currently making is all the stuff I always wanted to see or do I FPSC so after playing around for a few mins to see what works and what doesn't.

It's here the round wall segment that allows you to cut into floors ect still needs a proper uv map but it works.. 99% with a few minor tweaks needed it will be sweet for X10 with water puzzles that will drive people insane trying to swim up and down pipes looking for the exit.

I will also be doing the pipe bend segment and the pipe sideways segment so that you can build a maze of.....what else pipes.

So here is the screenie

Well of course I have to post the final product.Work is slow on the animated vent not in the mood for it now so maybe I'll work on it again next week or so for now I'm just upping the basics.

Any ways the final product of the pipe segment worked well however still not the final textures but working 100% just as long as you don't put a floor segment on top of it since most floor segments are immune to CSG so I came up with a clever little idea. Take the wall and floor segment and apply it directly to the segment with CSG and the end result no gaps.

I also made a duct still have to add the grate entity to the duct so you can shoot out the grate to gain access I'm planning on doing the same to the pipe maybe a grate and manhole cover who knows.

Here are the screenies.

yeah coffee I have been making a lot of new content the last few weeks. The problem however some of these segments I wouldn't not say are complicated it's just that the current segments don't support them well so to use say the grate with the duct screenie I'm going to post now requires you to make the duct as a segment then you have to add the grate separate as a entity to make it work correctly which you can either make static or dynamic.

While it's dynamic you can't give it a fpi script say crumble.fpi as it disappears so you have to keep it immobile with no script so that is stays visible and then you can shoot it however the collision detection isn't very good right now something I still have to fix with dynamic mode static mode no problem.

Some thing else I'm going to try is to see if I can't load the MP 3 pipes as a segment with CSG which I'm sure will have a better visual effect than the current stop dead in the wall look.?

The final duct with grate

Okay a video clip showing what I have done I fixed the dynamic problem

I turned off the grate physics and what do you know it works. YAY !!!!

Now my questions is does any one want these segments I can't give you the textures but at least it works

It's quite easy to notice the white debug text at the bottom with the efxMod Font Size...

@Nighthawk

Yip it's made with efx I have to make all the segment in X9 before migrating to X10.

@coffeegrunt um so now you know that it is in X9 migrating to X10 will include shaders of course.

Yeah so stay tuned I'm working on the next segment which should be ready soon....this one has some thing todo with floors

This was a completely unintentional effect. In the past I faked spot and directional lighting. Now it's part of the scene a very nice overall effect to obtain directional lighting without faking it I knew the pipe would come in handy I didn't know that it would allow this effect

@coffee I have some free textures...So I will supply every thing

So I played around a bit more and I came up with this I don't think you could improve the mood it's perfect one or two more entities...and you have the perfect sewer

Nothing new on the news front made some new segments.

So a screenie of the the wall and ceiling punch it is simple but adds the required effect without fancy segments

you should try using 'cutters next level' to put cutters in, it's free, because that hole in the wall looks somewhat odd.
cutters next level:

http://fps-files.com/index.php?site=files&file=191

if you're using x10, not sure if it works, though. try it.
anyways, game's looking great.

That last couple of screenies heavily reminded me of the Canal levels in Half Life 2....excellent job......

It must be said, for a sewer it seems quite sterile. But other than that, everythings fantastic, (especially your lighting......as usual)......
