You did? Wow. I just edited it to show the story for this game as simple as possible.

I am writing an e book on the "great war". there is a "secret" link to it at the bottom of "freewebs" called "page3". Its not done yet, and needs editing, but check it out...

Okay, here are a couple redone areas that I just finished. I made all of the textures over saturated. Note: This is the ONLY level with any Stock media, so please dont pick on this...

I'm glad. I know that everyone dislikes stock, but it seems to have turned out pretty well.

I have created a new script that runs in the background. It does a couple of neat-o things to make the game feel more professional. I made them a long time ago, but didnt want to show them yet, but the time is now. So, ill post screens of them in a minute.

Yeah, Its pretty kick-@$$ if I do say so myself.

More later.

Great effort your doing on this. I did notice a frame drop in one of your last screens, I guess it could be the particle effect. Which looks good by the way, good adition to the scene.

Thanks, as for the framerate, it actually stays at 38 in that room, but I had a lot of things running in the background, (paint.net, gimp, folders, ect...)

@ Mazz426

I made the decal in Paint.net using the community guides instructions

The Embers from the lava rise up and and disappear.

EDIT: I have now added light rays and lava decals that move. That includes an animated lava fall!

Screens later!

This is looking fantastic, man. Those embers really add to the scene. Every update makes it seem less and less like the standard FPSC game.

May I suggest putting something like a grate over the falling lava? it might make it look less stretched

more great work, especially on the particles

Thanks krownest. I know the lava still isnt very appealing, but animated ones run WAY too fast. I had an effect using dynamic lights that pulsed, but to the expense of speed loss, and more bugs, so they were removed.

Yeah, overall, my game runs at a flat rate of 20 fps, but in my dll, im not planning on using the resource sucking motion blur.

Anyway, here is the room the player starts in.

Note: I made this in just an hour, and I'm planning on adding much more.

Also, the room will be messy, because their ship is being attacked by the "police", and the old illegal-to-own battleship is falling apart...

Note:Well, "Rodrick",(the game), has gone through some major changes graphically. When I started, the game didn't look very good. Personally. But I was deeply inspired by the bloom mod, and am buying it off of the original DLL creator.

Last note: I still like the default "sci-fi" media, so the first level will be partly made of it. The infested ship, and venus, are completely custom. Everything. That includes enemies.

Attached: A screenshot of the first level. I didn't like how boxy I had it originally, so I did some quickie re-texturing. Note: Bloom is on...
