I may have a tip for you on the lens flare idea, Red Eye. I'll explain on MSN if you're on. Other than that, the water looks pretty good, I'll have to take it for a spin (or should I say, "swim" ).

just a quick question to help me understand sth..
I tried renaming waterscript2.fpi to waterhurt.fpi, and changed the name in the code waterscript.fpi too but it didn't work, does it have to be the same name with a number, if yes then why?

why would you rename it? but it should work, save it right and try restarting FPSC. What are the problems? dont you see anything? the waterscript 2 is for the main reason there because of the bubbles. So maybe trying to wait 10 seconds till you see the bubble comming up then you know if it works

@ALL: I and Hockeykid are very busy with other things right now. But we will do our best to give you another version Saturday or Sunday. [with lensflare some other new features, and some bug fixes]...

Has the water revolution with the lens flare released?? Because I just cant wait to see a super cool feature like this, but at the same time cant waste my bandwidth on two different downloads.(have a limited download based connection)

I am not intersted in the 100 games U made evryday,
But rather in the one single game U made in 100 days.!!

hey guys,

I am back from Paris and Brussel.

@SGL: No the lens flare is not yet released, because we have to add one more complicated feature to it.

It will be released when ready.

I am currently very busy with school. Hockeykid is also very busy.

But a newer version is surely in our todolist.

I always find comments like that to be very funny. It's right up there with the "No offense but..." comments. It's like saying "I don't like it, but I don't want you to feel bad and get mad at me for not providing constructive criticism because I can't deal with proper confrontations"

The water's looking really good, guys. Have you thought about maybe attaching a water shader to the water plain to make it look better?

Indeed.

Thanks mate. And yes we are actually busy with that. This is what we have:
- Texture + All Maps
- Animated Waves [.X]
- Shader

This is what we are having problems with.
- It isnt animated in FPSC. We made the script and changed the .fpe. But i think we are doing something wrong. If someone has a idea. Please tell us.

Further Off. The Lens Flare wont be realeased yet, i repeat "yet".
Ofcourse the Water Waves Will. + Some other features[next version, coming in 2-3 weeks, we hope]. If you know some to add. Please SAY.

Quote: "I mean the water is above you which means when you are in the water."

Can you swim? Because if so, you have probably already seen water from below. It looks like everything is underwater (if you hadnt the waves). That is because we are making the waves right now.

PS: Again, we are very busy with other things too. *&$@Exams

@The Fps Creator rocks!: it seems ur having trouble explaining wut u mean in english, wuts ur first language? maybe I can help explaining ur point

@Red Eye: so far amazing work best water I've ever used just a couple of questions and Ideas..

- I read that the lenseflare would be dynamic, will there be a special mode for that if no then can u give me a hint on how r u doing it cause I can't picture it at all..

- can u make the player move vertically like it's swimming upwards or downwards? I was half way doing it till I hit a dead end maybe u can find a solution, I used a function to raise the player up and down (can't remember it's name exactly) but when I moved forward or backwards he drops again

- maybe have a version for Ply's Mod users, add a screenshake when health decreases and disallow weapons in water

- last thing I don't think u should waste time making an animated water surface, actually the decal u provided looks great.. just finish the other features first

This is some amazing work... you both need an award, or three! But seriously, no joke, this is some of the best work produced for FPSC in an extremely long time.

Good luck with the lens flare, which I'm really looking forward to

They'll probably just spawn body bit entities near the enemy that was killed.

But you never know, I may be wrong

Tip;

Indeed with scripts only, no screens yet. We are very busy with things. And have to sort out every single bug. But it is working.
