Judging by your joining date it seems you didn't stop to think between posts.

@Seppuku - I'm surprised, and not surprised at the same time that you have over 1k more posts than me

Wow, I should feel proud of that, but alas all I feel is shame.

It would seem one of us has gotten a life and sadly, that person is not me.

Ugh, I can't believe you guys are actually arguing against using a good forum system as opposed to the current... System.

If TGC Forums had been simply a list of threads with a comments reel for each and nothing else, would you argue against changing it to be as functional as every other forum simply because it's always been like that and everything else is 'Unnecessary'? You don't NEED hyperinks, image tags, and uploading system, avatars, signatures, profiles, a search function, or even separate forums, so should we get rid of all that clutter too?

This is one of the worst forums I have ever been on in terms of usage, and I am sort of wondering why TGC doesn't just get vBulletin or something, which is basically maintained for them, and works perfectly fine?

You have seen past my trick, young padawan!

Are you joking? I find this forum to be much more usable and enjoyable than vbulletin, it's much faster, clearer and easier to use.

There is absolutely no speed difference for me. Maybe it's because of my internet...?

Anyway, this forum is hell to navigate compared to vBulletin, which is basically one of the best forum systems I have ever used. Simplicity is one thing, unnavigable and quirky is another.

...I'm confused as to how people can't navigate these forums. Can one of you elaborate on this? Everything is laid out and grouped into category's...what more do you need?

I'm confused too, I think they're perfectly navigable. But because I like the forums the way they are, I am apparently against change for the better

Yes, me too. This is one of the easiest forums I've come across. I'm sure it could be improved, but why bother? I've had no problems using it other than encountering the occasional minor bug or obscurity.

And I can never tell on V bulletin if there's a new post in a thread, or if it's locked, or even if I'm logged in occasionally.
