New screenies look nice! but i would change the stairs in the last 3 screenshots.
Something less scifi. And i think it would look better if you put the 3 barrels downstairs just like all the crates and such.
The boxes look okey on their place. But as for the barrels, they dont fit there.
Cause i dont think people would like to lift probably heavy barrels on stairs while they probably have to replace them somewhere else or use them the next day or week or so.

Anyway looking nice!

Nice screenshots! I like this project a lot! Nice industrial look you have going on there!

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things that I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

Shaka, these are really starting to look like professionally designed levels. Your use of lighting is great, and your sense of spacing as related to your character is spot on (everything is proportioned well). Nice work, and I can't wait to check out the demo!

Dominic Harvey: Black Out (Demo) is about a week or so from release!
By this weekend level 3 will be complete and next weekend I will be working on level 4. The final level for the demo. The thing that will be taking me the longest will be the voices and little display messages.

I have a few quests for every one if you can help me.

1. I need to make a small flat image into an entity. Sort of like a blood overlay or paper overlay kind of thing. Is there and free program I can get my hands on that can make such a thing for me? The decal maker would help but people say its bugged and the download doesn't work for me.

2. Would any one be interested in creating a signature type image for the game? Like the one that Cheesecake has for his sig a few posts up. I would provide credit to the winner of course! Im trying to make the game have a little more popularity and I wanna way to advertise it more. If you want to give it a try, let me know and ill tell you the guidelines!

That's all for now. If you can help me with any of the above things, I would greatly appreciate it!!

I hope you're all ready for the Black Out.

If you have any experience in things such as entity design, let me know and im sure I could add you to the team for some thing such as this!

I think this is better....

Okay so I just got done creating the Game Over Screen, Main Menu Screen, Damage Eye Hud, Health Hud, Inventory Hud, and the Objectives Hud!

Still to complete: Game Complete Screen, Each Levels Loading Screen and Audio Track, Courser for the Main Menu, Level 4, and Voice Tracks for Dominic Harvey, Jacob Mills, And Enemies.

So still a bit of work. But nothin I cant handle! I hope I can get it all done before this weekend!

Looking good so far.

Note: I judge a game a lot by it's HUD. So be careful there.

It's probably the same problem as I've had, not enough memory. (That's what Thraxas thought about it, and I'm pretty sure he's right) But I don't know if it's the same thing for you, but it's the same error.

And this is what I get when I build the level just by itself. (Without adding the first 2 levels)

Okay well the demo is done every one!

But I wont be able to post it until I get this build game error fixed. Im using Fenix Mod V1.0, FPSCreator Update Version 16.1, I have bought the upgrade from the trial version of fps, and I am using a windows XP to create the game.

If we can get this worked out, you can all try out the game!!

Sorry, I'm waaay to young in my knowledge of FPSC to help. I hope you can figure it out, though.

Maybe setup FPSC in a separate directory (I don't think a partition is necessary) and try building your maps with a different version?

If it were me though, I'd first try to build the game with just that 3rd map and see if I can pinpoint the issue. I've had something similar happen with a different engine, and it was a wayward sector effector that the engine put in there on its own while building the level.

Good luck!

I thought the same thing myself, so i went ahead and did that and it got all the way to the sky box then it glitched again thank you so much for trying to help though!! I really appreciate it.

Quote: "Looks to me like you have a missing file, or something. Have you recently moved or deleted anything? If not, I don't know."

This could be the reason actually. I recently moved all my files to a flash drive then put them on a new comp. because my other one was really buggy. Ill try re-downloading all the model packs again to this computer.

Well to keep you all in a more positive mood for this game, ill be posting some new screen shots from level 3 of the demo in the next post!
