We're not making fun of you, we're just trying to show you the facts. I know exactly how you feel: My parents were always over protective, and I always wanted to be a soldier to prove that I could make a difference. It was only later, once I saw the horrors of real life war and killing, that I realized why my parents were so over protective.
Just remember, I was once your age, I used to feel the same kind of feelings you feel. I'm not saying you shouldn't follow your dreams, I'm just saying you better be damn sure of what you really want to do. At one point in my youth, there was no question in my mind that I wanted to be in the army. Then I became a soldier, and I was quite dissapointed how different it was from what I thought it was going to be. But once you're in, you're trapped, there's no way out.
So it's not really a decision you can make on your own. If you're really serious about military life, go talk to as many war veterans as you can. Ask them what that kind of life is like, ask them how they felt about killing, how they felt about seeing their friends dying all around them, and pretty much anything else you can think of. And, most importantly, WAIT UNTIL YOU'RE MUCH OLDER. During adolescence, your brain is going through big changes, and it can drive you to make stupid and rash decisions.
If, by your 20s, you understand what the army is like and you still want to do it, I say go for it. By that time, you should be old enough to make your own decisions. But right now, your biology won't allow you to make a rational decision about something as life changing as the army.
Quote: " so I'm not stupid I know people can die in war"
It's easy to say that now, but it's very different when there's a corpse in a pool of blood at your feet.
Quote: "You guys can laugh and insult me all you want but I'm still going through with this at this point."
Again, we're not trying to insult you, we're just making sure you know what the military is really like, so that, in the future, you can make an informed decision about it.
