Not true.

Isn't Jeku right wing? At least he's managed to defend right wing arguments quite well before now.

The fact you've not yet been slapped or banned suggests you've not got into any trouble at all. So far, each instance of the AUP breaking thats gone on, all that's happened is thread-lock. The mods aren't giving anybody special treatment.

The mods are probably thinking, "this is just too much of a joke, they've been warned". As much as it would be great for this forum to handle religious and political discussion maturely without being ignorant of one and another, it would be fantastic! Because once somebody says, "my opinion on this is religious", they can, it can be discussed and everybody is happy, even those who disagree. There have been moments where this community has shown it can deal with religion and politics, but it always ends badly.

Now, I think it'll be safe to NOW say this forum is going to learn why it is against the AUP the hard-way, admittedly, myself included. Perhaps if the mods slapped us all for a week, we'll learn our lesson?

Maybe it isn't a bad idea? Or is it a suicidal suggestion? Well, 'seppuku' is Japanese ritual suicide after all.

I should probably qualify my previous statement: I'm not gay myself but I live in an area with a strong gay community, a good deal of whom are close friends of mine. So sorry if I seemed to be over-reacting, I didn't mean it to sound intolerant, it just hit a nerve.

On the point about being intolerant towards gay-haters, as soon as one person is intolerant of one group of people with no real basis for it, intolerance towards that particular person is justified. If someone says 'I hate all black people' he then can't get out of it for free by saying 'You're intolerant of racists', if you see what I mean. I have every right to hate you GJ for your irrational and dangerous hate of others.

I hope I haven't crossed the line at any point here, and if I have by all means delete my posts and slap me or whatever, but I'll give the same offer as Sep - if you want to discuss the subject further, E-mail me.

I refuse to be frustrated this time by the rambling religious rubbarb crumble, so I won't comment on the religious tone.

I do really think some slaps should be handed out for this constant religion related AUP breaking, especially when combined with intolerance that could deeply upset some people. It keeps being let slide, and my only guess is because MODs fear it's too risky a subject to slap someone for.

Radical hamsters skipping furiously into the blue ether, questioning their very existence while breathing out the bitter fog of smoked haddock.

I never said I was against gay marriage. But people aren't idiots if they are against it. Gays are NOT a race. It's a decision they've made. It's AGAINST Christian views. Just because you don't believe in the bible and it's views doesn't mean others are idiots if they do. No one "hates" gays. People "hate" what they're DOING. NOT who they are.

And that's exactly what makes those people idiots. I don't understand what you mean by "what they're doing" because all i can think of what they are doing is being gay? And if they hate what they're doing (being gay) then they hate gays, get it?

You can not back up hatred like that with any reason. There's no possible logical reason you could give. And that's why people who hate gays are idiots.

Sure it's aginst christian views, and just because someone believes in the bible doesn't mean they're idiots (you should know, not all christians hate gays). If they hate a group of people for no reason just because some book tells them to.. for absolutelty no reason then they're stupid.

Seriously the AUP should have been enforced many a post ago.
To add to the real topic I wanted to be a chef I ended up being a aircraft controller well the real word is apron controller now I want to be a air traffic controller...

Being doing it for over 12 years now and both are stressful jobs but it is really nice to be in control of some many lives and problem solving is a big must and being a hero doesn't come easy.

Quite honestly, I'm not concerned with others' beliefs. What DOES concern me that is that someone like GJ would voice such an offensive opinion in a place where open-minded liberals obviously comprise the majority, not to mention the last religion poll we had had around 50% of us as atheists. It is so apparent that GJ is simply trying to upset others with his opinions. That's not to say that you should be restricted from voicing an unpopular opinion; however, if that opinion is blatantly offensive and incredibly likely to upset others, I think it's best kept to yourself, or at least to your small southern town of about 400 people that share your views 100%.

I'm not exactly sure what I really want to do. Of course I had the dream of wanting to be an astronaut. But that's not going to happen :p Right now, I want to either go into programming, or engineering of some sort.

Thanks mate, I appreciate it.

The end of the matter is this GJ: the Nazis hurt people, hell, anti-gay people hurt people... but being gay is a victimless act. Know one is forcing you to be gay, can't you just let them enjoy their own lives and not butt in? I disagree with a lot of what Christians say but I don't go around slagging them off because that isn't fair, they can believe what they like, they can be what they like, it's their life.
