It has been long enough.

Enough training.

Enough assistance.

We have the weapons.

We have the troops.

They stand on the border.

Epic music comes in,

Our chief makes his way through the crowd,

holding a flag.

Our flag. Our new flag.

He doesn't say a word.

The guitar enters quietly to the music.

He raises his arm.

Everyone watches, blood painting theyre faces.

Weapons ready.

Minds ready.

Our nation, ready.

He points to the West, and the guitar breaks into solo.

Everyone screams.

Everyone runs.

We have begun war.

And we intend. To win.

Lestimagia goes into to war as well with the brave Austric tribe to help them conquer.

Lestimagia has started building spiritual medical centers in areas of the country other than major cities.

A slave rebellion taken place, the slaves were hanged due to treason. Let this be a lesson.

Lestimagia develops a new branch of military called the Guardians. They protect the country at all times against rebellions, crimes, riots, and etc.

There is small surplus of iron. Anyone want to trade?

I have compiled a list of the currently available military units, and ones that may be researched, detailing their advantages and disadvantages. Feel free to add units I have missed out, as long as they existed at the time.

ARCHERS
There are two types of archer and one yet to be researched.
To be effective on the battlefield, bowmen must be protected by other units or stationed at locations the enemy cannot reach. Bowmen, with the exception of crossbowmen, must train for years to become proficient with the bow.

Regular Bowmen
Equipment: none or light armour.
Primary Weapon: Bow & Arrows.
Secondary Weapon: Dagger
Pros: long range, rapid fire.
Cons: weak in close quarters combat.
Cost: medium/low

Long Bowmen
Equipment: none or light armour.
Primary Weapon: Long Bow & Arrows.
Secondary Weapon: Dagger
Pros: long range, rapid fire, can pierce light armour.
Cons: weak in close quarters combat.
Cost: medium

Crossbowmen (not currently available)
Equipment: light armour.
Primary Weapon: Crossbow & Bolts.
Secondary Weapon: Dagger.
Pros: medium range, can pierce heavy armour, capable of hitting moving targets.
Cons: slow reloading, weak in close quarters combat.
Cost: medium/high

KNIGHTS
Knights are heavily armoured and highly-trained soldiers. In Western Europe only royalty, noblemen and their private soldiers could train to be knights. No peasants or labourers could become knights.

Single-Handed Swordman
Equipment: Medium Armour.
Primary Weapon: Sword & Shield.
Secondary Weapon: Dagger.
Pros: very good in close combat, can use the shield for defence against arrows and light weaponry.
Cons: weak against heavy weaponry, fairly slow moving.
Cost: High.

Double-Handed Swordman
Equipment: Heavy Armour.
Primary Weapon: Long Sword.
Secondary Weapon: Dagger.
Pros: Heavy armour. Can cut a man in half even through armour.
Cons: Very slow moving.
Cost: High.

Cavalry
Equipment: Horse, Medium or Heavy Armour.
Primary Weapon: Lance.
Secondary Weapon: Sword.
Pros: Well armoured, fast moving. Strong against dispersed troops.
Cons: Vulnerable to pikemen. Weak against compact, organised troops.

PEASANTS
Using assorted and improvised weapons; mostly agricultural tools. Untrained soldiers but capable of swarming on mass with great effect.

you are? funny i didnt know!
that might be because iam sweden..
in the lonely europe ^^

Swedens Economy has finally become stable, the unemployed workers have decresed from 20+% down to a putty 5%.
Sweden is also starting a research group, specialised in war. and are now researching more efficiant ranged weapons, and more efficient war tactics.

REPORT:
The Aubor War:
The small tribe known as the Aubors have been attacked by the combined forces of China, the Austric and Persia. The Austric, looking to expand in the area led the charge into the deserts of the Aubor kingdom. The Chinese Flamers did decantially against the Austric Spearmen and the newly trained Austric Army was also pretty effective. At the end of the day, The Aubor Kingdom was destroyed and Australia was divided between the 3 nations. Although the lines are not final, here is the rough map. (You may change this if you want untill it is acceptable to everyone)

Also, from now on, if you are fighting an NPC, you do not need a 3rd party, if you are fighting another player, however, you do.

France invades Corsica with 10,000 men; the inhabitants surrender immediately and Corsica becomes part of the French Empire.

Baron Edouard Marette, hungry for battle, has gone against his orders and taken his troops - 600 men from his own company and 1100 men who have joined him from other companies - across the water to Sardinia. They have been met with resistance but I am yet to here of the details of their conquest.
This action is a severe breach of French military law. I shall wait to see if he succeeds in Sardinia, if so I will claim the land for France, either way I will punish Marette for his mutiny.

The remaining troops are establishing military bases on Corsica.

It's time that we invade Turkey, which will give us more land, along with a better trade route. We send 100,000 out of our 250,000 men, and keep the rest for guarding the borders. We send trade caravans to Europe to offer France an alliance with us. We ask them if we can take Marette and their other criminals for work on the mines.

I give you 50 ships to bring your troops over and help me with the seige. We could use it, Turkey is not the easiest to beat. We only have 39,723 men left, and we're running out of options. The neighbors of Turkey were allied with each other, so we're fighting them too.

I'll send 100,000 more soldiers, leaving only 50,000 for the guard. We could really use France's help, too, if only they would respond.

We start breeding (prepare for awesomeness) a special kangaroo species that has a hunched back so we can ride it. It still has powerful punches and kicks so it is a deadly mount, it also swims fast (they do, look it up) and can jump high enough to get us over tall walls. Boo. Freaking. Yeah.

We call it the Austricaroo.

Great! What men do you have to spare? We might take Turkey down, but we have only 50,327 units left, including the brave Austricaroos. We could use any help we can get.

Meanwhile, Persia starts expanding north.

We can spare 2000 Professional Troops and 5000 Conscripts. This is a small contribution, but Our professional troops are very well-trained. We would also like to offer you some Georgian Iron.

We begin producing grenades with greek fire inside.

The Spaspet have begun to start up as the king's royal inquisition army. It will take a while for it to build up size.

EDIT: I added the crusader states from before. Must have got left out.

France will join the attack on condition that the City of Ankara is turned over to French rule upon victory.

We will send 10 ships, 8,000 trained soldiers and 4,000 crew who will join the battle. I also send four ballistas and six trebuchet war engines to help with the siege of Turkey's fortified castles.

We will land on the west coast of Turkey, Amiral Hugues Borque and I will lay siege to Ankara directly with 8,000 men (5,000 trained soldiers), while the Duke of Chauvigny will march the remaining force east, securing the smaller towns.

Sorry Tech, I was wondering who that was.
It would be better not to use black as the lines are black. I see you've given the land above Palestine to Sweden, is that right?

I have returned to France and installed Hugues Bourque as Duke of Ankara, he will oversee all empirical business in the east.

Marette continues to thwart our invasion of Sardinia, he has gained the support of the royal family of Sardinia, he is masquerading as their protector and is admired by the people.

France is plotting to take over the island of Sardinia, they want to control the Mediterranean. This is a great opportunity for the Holy Roman Empire to take the island, fight off the French and the people of Sardinia will have only love and praise for Rome, and will allow you to control this strategic position.

I think India should have grown by now...

We have 10,000 trained soldiers, a strong army but a weak navy.
Specializing in the trade of Spices and Dye we are growing in size and in wealth.

We arent too happy about the little island Cormorant5 claimed, but will let it sile atm.

Cheers,

We now have 150,000 men for fighting, we wish to help France capture the pirate and his men. We'll send 50,000 troops, my only condition is that we may have him and his men to work in the mines. We need the stone there for our walls.

The army numbers 40,000 in total. 20,000 Urban Cohort, 10,000 Triarii and Calvary each. Rome wants a quarter of the taken island and some weapons for the dead troops.
