Thank you Starmind. Did you use edit my model to make that or did you make it from scratch? Because if you made it from scratch that fast and it was 4 days work for me... I need some practice Anyways I'm still struggling with the grenade launcher. When I'm done i will post it in .obj

@Zwarte Piet its fix. easy. im also going to make it bond1 shader ready and fix it up for x10fpsc. checkout the pic attack works. I will work on all of this after work tonight.

Good job michael! I fogot to mention I have the shaders for the bugs, but looks great. I told Zwarte to send you the archie. It has more animations to deal with. Email me for the list, but I believe I laid it all out in the fpe.

I used your model to remake it. Took about five-ten mins. As far as how long it took you, be patient. I still take long times on certain things, but it depends on what you are making. What I like to do is go to youtube and just watch the speed sculpting and modeling tutorials. I some times spend days just watching them. There are many tutorials for low poly modeling that I have used to learn.

Looks great Josh! There are some programs that make skyboxes, but I have already went ahead and made the skybox fpsc ready.

For in the future try these programs. Cesky and skies. I prefer skies just because it is easier to use.

Hmm, Skies download link is dead. Any chance of an upload? According to the site it's free for everyone to use now, so I wouldn't see the harm. I have a few other ideas for skyboxs.

@ michael x I put archie in game to try it out, but he just stand there, and bounces up and down, I'm using v 1.17, if that helps

edit, ok I got it figured out, I put the script in the wrong folder. he attacks but causes no damage to the player. Ok it's a problem with my fpsc. must reinstall.

I quickly made one of the versions of the grenades. I will work on the other version and an ammo entity/ normal entity for both. It is in .obj this time

Broke out my Starship Troopers DVD and it gave me a few ideas.

If no one's working on them, I'll go ahead and model some segments and entities for a planetary base, like the one from the movie during the ambush scene.

@Zwarte Piet to me 117 is still a beta and 118 is no better. this is why I still use 115 with pb mod 1.7.it going to take some time before fpsc new version is near to bug free. like 115 is. but I will test it in 117 and fix with a work around.

@Zwarte okay I just test it out it work find in 117. It gave me damage so there is no problems on my part.

Hey Josh already made the whiskey outpost segments. Currently they are with Wizard of id who is refine the segments, but what the hell do I know.
Just to let every one know I have been working the outpost models this includes the terrain, crates, barrels, tower and other things in the outpost.

Awewsome! I can't believe the amazing and quality work I've seen on this thread! I'd love to contribute what I can, mainly smaller entities like ammo crates or helmets. I use Wings 3D and am no superb, but if I'll still give it a go!

@Gunbarrelguru, We could use some crates and barrels. backgroung models are always useful.I have done helmets, Starmind has gut the whiskey outpost/ ambush site done, and guns. Cosmic has grunts covered and guns, I'm working on bugs.

okay I have a question, but it's going to have to be for anyone that has seen the second Starship Troopers movie, although I'll put a brief explanation of the scene I'm talking about.

On the second movie when the first get to the Hotel Delta outpost and Dax is released from the incinerator he opens a panel and inputs a command and then the base goes into a "perimeter burn" mode where it flings explosive barrels from the top of the base and incinerates all the bugs surrounded the base.

Is that something that would be able to be done in FPSC?

I don't see why not. I know you can shhot barrels and make them explode and kill enemies, in Fpsc v 1.01

Hi all, new member here. A friend of mine directed me to this place because of the Starship Trooper thread. I'm the developer of a Starship Trooper mod for another game. It's a space and land based RTS. I've created quite a few low poly models for the SST universe. Not knowing the limits of the engine here, they might still be too high poly for your use. Mine average 1000-3000 with some higher than that. The game I mod on though has a high limit for in-game polies. I've moved more into the land based side and have realized I'm not that good yet at organic modeling. I was wondering if any of the modelers here would be interested in a proposition. I could supply them with my 3d models for them to use as a 3d guide to create lower poly versions, and in turn I'd like to use some of the models shown here as a 3d guide for higher poly versions. If anyone is interested, just throw me a PM, if not, feel free to use some of the images at my site for reference.
