Don't be glum. This is seriously the next greatest thing to happen to fpsc. I mean the multiplayer has basically been untouched since it was added. If this is open source as you said, you can consider this as major as airmod. It might not find its way into an update for a while since you said it changes the whole connection system, but it WILL be added. You deserve many a just for trying this. Wow, this is making me waaaay to excited lol.

Looks great and sounds like you're doing a lot, maybe too much. But who knows, guess I'll wait and see how the final product will be.
I am really interested in the new Multiplayer features you plan to add. I am creating a new FPS game and will need a good multiplayer to go with it. I was thinking about buying FPSC IP, but if this is better then I'll definitely get it. Well actually, I will try this no matter what.

I'm doing it because I'm nice.
If you want to see my real work, I'm making my own game creation engine/software called Ethicx.

Shadowdeath,
Do you know if ProjectPHP will include all the needed to run in our own servers or you would keep a side server code on your server as FPS IP? I don't like the idea of "dependence" of third party servers to operate.

Thanks, Javier

I'm not a fan of you stealing my HTML code from www.fpscip.com for your own site shadowdeath.
Taking and using the same content layout as well is just low.
Please make your own design and don't steal other peoples designs and code without asking if you can use it

So far you havent showed us much. Besides a website that you havent even made yourself!

I recon you taking the website off the internet, and make your own design first! We dont want mods to get involved, now do we?

You host your own servers.

@Connorcian
Thanks.

@Trakmiro
Yes, I have a lot done. I am doing it by myself.

@Knxrb
Yeah, sorry about that.

@Red Eye
Yeah, I'll get on it.

P.s. You do know that this thread isn't about ethicx, right?

While this looks interesting, lack of screen shots leave me sceptical..

Can I ask a couple of questions.

What version of the source are you using?

Secondly, you say you're re-coding the AI system for co-op. Does this mean you intend to include AI characters in multiplayer.

Lastly, you list, campaign as a completed option in your first post. Can you elaborate on this. Are you saying that you are coding multiplayer campaigns.

Two things scene commander:
1. I always have to say this, as it bugs me every time someone does this. COOP is two player, Multiplayer is, well, mulitplayer. COOP can be two player on one machine, or connected through multiplayer to be on the same game. Although there can be some grey areas in this. For example, Nazi Zombies is COOP because all four players are on the same team, doing the same thing. EDIT: you have a good point in your next post. I just find myself having to post this because the more people who know it the more people who stop confusing everyone else. Sorry, I was not undermining you intelligence. /EDIT
2. By campaign I'm guessing he means some additional features to singleplayer, as well as that it still works.

I'm very aware of the difference thanks,

However, I'm assuming he isn't intending on splittng the screen so he's going to have to provide a networked link, which means he's going to have to pass data between systems regarding the AI's. PB and WASP mod both provide Team deathmatch, so you could call that co-op, but neither offer dynamic entities, so, I'm interested in how he thinks he can achieve this.

Which is why I asked the question

I wish you the best with this project but there plenty of stuff done to start showing some progress untill then I'm sceptical as well.

I hope you prove us wrong.

As xplosys says, "say goodnight zappi."

I find you language repulsive and your location churlish, vulgar to those who have a limited vocabulary such as yourself. I hope you find your way out of the gutter, zappi. Soon!
