I am immensely impressed by your work here, mate. I absolutely love the atmosphere that you're pulling off, and all of those scripted sequences, and not hitting the memory cap while including all of these features into one level, and the sound design, and the HUDs, oh man, I'm practically having a nerdgasm at how excited I am to get my hands on this game, it's just the epitamy of professional looking games and fantastic design!
Also, I think this is worth at least 5 dollars at the bare minimum, although I'd personally be willing to pay $10-$15 for something of this quality, keep the good work coming, mate! I'm dying to see some more features!

Quote: "Now my question:

You think that 3$ dollars/Euros is a fair price for this game"

Now this is a hard one to answer but I will tell you what I would do.

The game is worth $10 of anyones money but the problem is its made in FPSC.

Only a few people from the forum would part with that money for a fpsc made game, its funny because they would like to make more money with there own games.

Off the forums you easy get the $10 as nobody knows the engine.

I would sale the game for $10 and $20 with the media so they can use it in there own games.

People would buy this for the media alone, I sure would.

So it would be like two versions of the game :

$10 game only

$20 game with fpsc media and scripts.

This is just something to think about and the game is looking awesome.

Scratch that. This game has YOUR media and YOUR scripts. If you distribute media away, there is nothing special about YOUR game anymore.

I'm just playing devil's advocate here.

I'm with Astech! I'm all for sharing media and helping the community, but not the entire essence of a project.
If you want to share some scripts and media...splendid!! But not all of it.

Also thanks for responding! Seeing how you made this in an unmodded FPSC version got me thinking out of the box of what can and can not be done in my game again and...well! Thank you for that

I sell my game for 3EUR once its done and I would advise you to sell for 5EUR...simply because, compared to mine, your game is:

*More professionally developed and presented
*A genre that has the highest popularity in the indie scene
*More content per level
*More approachable (mine is really wierd and doesnt explain itself, yours look like it plays very smooth)

However, I would not ask more than 5 € simply because of the competition, the content (an FPSC game does not have as much meat on it as other games) and possible bugs and crashes on other systems you might not be able to provide fixes for.

Keep it up and keep us posted! Best luck with your further development.

Yeah! Congrats on the newspaper mention, Dimox!

I wonder: will there be weapons in this game...or any other form of combat?

Hi MasterD.

Right now I'm working on closing the PS3 Zombeer game and in a game based in a hollywood movie (confidentiality agreement) . This job came so intense that i had hardly any time to work in Schizo.

From wednesday I will work again. This weekend, I hope to upload a new images.

Thank you for being so patient.

Take your time and focus on what moves you forward in life, this game is looking very well made and intriguing so far though, a lot of attention has gone into the atmosphere! Best of luck to it's progress

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

Thats cool stuff dimoxinil!

If I might be so bold: The neonpipes on the first screenshot might benefit from an emmissive map where only the tube itself glows, not the entire thing.

Other than that, perfect in sense of color and athmosphere, altough these shots don't reveal very much

Keep it up! you got style

I always get excited when I receive an email telling me that something has been posted in this thread!

On a completely unrelated topic, is there any news on the release date of Zombeer? I have been a keen supporter for a long time now and am really looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of it!

Back on topic.

I think I speak for most on this thread when I say; if this is what you can do with FPSC classic, I can't wait to see what you can do with Reloaded!

Jay.

EDIT

I obviously know what this game is, but, what is 7?

Hi unfamillia. Thanks for your support!

Quote: "the release date of Zombeer?"

- I dont know the official date. I´m currently working on the launching trailers. I guess it will be soon.

_7_ is in a very early stage of development,it´s a quite different concept, I hope you like it.

just amazing !
i never see a FPSC game so rich in all ; ambiance, light, sounds, music, gameplay, level design ...

the video is truly exceptional !

your game is (in my opinion) definively VBOTB and of (semi) professional quality.

a big thanks because i feel pleasure to see your work (and i hope i will play to your game one day) and congratulation to you

I had stopped developing the game to move to Reloaded, but I made the decison to finish it in FPSC. I'll post new pics and news soon. The game has changed a bit (really much)

Off topic

Zombeer the game that I've been working the last two years (Level designer, etc..) goes on sale on PSN for Playstation 3.

Soon, you can enjoy on PC(Steam) and Mac.

About Zombeer:
Zombeer is a first-person-survival-horror-comedy-shooter. In a dark and near future, a mysterious plague is once again turning the world's population into zombies. You play as a character known only as "K" who awakens alone in a Mexican bar, after a night of "overindulging". All alone, dizzy and disoriented, he realizes that this hangover doesn’t quite feel like ones he is used to. Indeed, he has been bitten by one of those nasty monsters and the virus inside him is gaining power. "K" will unintentionally discover that imbibing in beer is the only way to prevent it from taking over. But drink in moderation or you’ll totally lose control and be in trouble!

PSN and Steam, huh ?

I don't expect a great gameplay for us, PC gamers, since most of console players are total retards. :/

Still, congratulations for the release !

The "PC master-race" isn't as bright as you believe it to be. PC gamers are not any more enlightened than console gamers. Go watch people "Let's Play" any game. Casuals are flooding pc gaming too and indie games is proof of that.

What is basically comes down to is a de-evolution in gaming. NES and Genesis days we had games like "Ghosts and Goblins" and "TMNT". You slipped up once and game over. Today, game creators feel the need to hold people's hands because we've been spiraled that way for a long time. Not only do you have to consider this when making a game yourself (no matter what engine) but you must know your target audience.

No flamewar intended but it should be made clear.

Who talked about "PC master-race" ? Not me !

I think you're right, videogame is deteriorating, I am thinking about games like Beyond : Two Souls or Heavy Rain, this genre is for me a real danger for videogaming.

Because in videogames, you MUST feel yourself involved into the story and events surrounding your maincharacter, but in Quantic Dreams games, you are just an outsider, like you were watching a movie. And because of this, David Cage proves himself that he didn't understood anything about video games and that he should really stop making videogames and consider to make movies rather than games.

I didn't want to start any flamewar but I will post this picture anyway, the picture is too big so I just link it.

Yeah, this is exactly what I was getting at. Oh well. Either things start changing or we face another game market crash; this I would blame mostly to COD and generic FPS games (not talking about indie developers or FPSC user though as they are solely niche).
