i would like to help you (join) i can make models for all things except the most difficult part is to get models of humains walking and all . i will buy program called "POSER" for professional human animations creations , i use the demo for now , and i`m preatty good at poser , i will buy it maby at the and of january , becouse now i have some things to work out (private madder)

i make free 3d models , then you tell me some stuff about usseles posts and then something heppen...

Just for the ones hwo want to join the "noob leagues.."

but it should be ok to use other ones , becouse it`s not like everyone has his own , eaven if it`s a joke , everyone can have that logo from wherever they want (i think at least , if i`m not right , sorry !)

uh... again , for some not too serious work i se some liter programs (when i`m at home) - some free programs like true space 3.1 -anyone can get it free , just need to register (free) , not much other than true space maby litle animator too , and when i get a chance i use 3d studio max at work(i work , moddeling is my job)
(but , i got some free time at work to make some models...) and i realy am good at 3d studio max , i am almoust ready to buy it (about $3500 isn`t realy attractive price ...)

truespace 3.2 is free...you mean?

EDIT: have u tried C4D? it's almost as good as 3DSM, and its only 300 bucks.

well i recommend wings 3D - free and there is no need for registration. The rederer however is rubbish. But its up to you guys... I suppose. But as I said I would recommend wings 3D. But if both of you get C4D or 3D studio max, thats fine.

well , i will use 3ds max while i`m on work , i have inaff time for moddeling ... (now i`m on vacation so i work in ani8tor and truespace.. - and i posted on 3d model showcase or however its called board a little weapon model collection , you can get it from there , s0l1dsnak... -it`s not very good becouse i`m new to ani8tor , i got it like two days ago , and i love it...)

@ dodic - I saw your models, they are quite good Would it be ok if you made some buildings and weapons. All I would suggest is that you didn't make the models with such a low poly

P.s I'd just like to say that noone is in charge in this project - it's open source. My job is to ask people to do certain things, but not to force them. No one is LEAD programmer or LEAD 3d artist - everyone is valued the same. Nuff said

sorry, i've been working on StupidBASIC REG so long i forgot about this!

i haven't started on pro yet, but v0.2 R1 almsot finished. then i start on R2. in v0.2 RELEASE 2, the only thing added will be new vars. see DB and WIP discussions.

after v0.2 R2 i'll start helping here more.

u should have a better menu, my one has animated bttons in front of a matrix with missiles falling from the sky. If u want i'll make 1 4 u, just tell me what buttons 2 put on

When i was doing the menu 4 it is used gamma fading to fade the picture when you quit. How about if u die or get really low health the picture starts fading like when you have a blackout?

For my night i use ambient lighting and set it 2 black. But when u convert it 2 a .exe file everything is black and u can't c a thing.

Check out my latest version of the menu and give me some feedback and ideas.

By the way, what camera veiw are we using for this. First person or third? If we are using 3rd person then it will require a lot of animation for the main character. Like getting in and out of cars and stuff.
What does anybody think of the menu for it? U can download it on the post above.

ok when on foot the person is in 3rd person and when he gets into a car you get a cut scene of him getting in and dealing with the (random) person inside the non-transperant windows...

Maybe you could use a sphere and texture it black and then gradually make it dark or light using a timer.

Soz but i ain't done much on the weather engine because i've had loads of homework and stuff 2 do from school. Year 8 is the only year i get to relax(lol) yr9 we have sats, yr10 we do mock GCSE's and yr11 we do a-level or something like that
