Here is a screenshot of my first game "Slaughtered". It won't be out for a while because I am working hard on level designes and working out the bugs found in my levels. I will try to bring more screenshots later, and I will keep you posted on this title. Enjoy!

@tinyschu. I agree with The Soul Master. You see, if people have to download your images, it will take a lot longer than as a .jpeg would. a .jpeg simply can be viewed on the internet and takes no time at all to loasd. When people have to download your images, it takes ages AND opens it in paint. People are more likely to close it and care if they have to waitr for it to download. About the pic though-hmmm...Looks a bit boring, but I think you could spice it up a bit by showing an image of looking UP the stairs and seeing maybe a shadow of something in the darkness at the top of the stairs. Just place a character entity facing AWAY from you at the top of the stairs so you can just see them in the darkness, and they wont come to attack you since they are not looking at you-that might give it a small feeling of creepiness.

Sorry for the double post but I forgot to mention this in my other one-I like the way you have used the lighting and shadows in the pic, Tinyschu. It gives it a bit of a feel of creepiness, but maybe follow suggestions in other post to spice it up a bit?

sorry, this was a level in development, which mean that it didn't have enemies or any other entities in it. I'll add a "JPEG" screenie that has action in it later. (note: I am trying to keep the frame rate to a playable level, and, at the same time, I am trying to get a cool feel for my game.

Anyway, today I did add something to it, I added my own soundset to my character and I added my own sound effect for the pistol and the Tavor/Taver, dont know how to spell it, LOL!

I am new, if I am wrong notify me please.

Here is another. I like to add I added replaced the sound when you walk or run on metal surfaces with a sound that is not as annoying. The original sound effect sounds like you are walking on very thin and cheap metal, LOL! I also wanted to add, thanks to you guys for being completely honest about my game, I know now that first screeny is boring, but I like the light effect, like it or not, I think it looks neat to me.
Enjoy the screen shot attached to this message!

Sorry for the double post, but whenever I try to edit my previous post I get an error, don't know why.

Anyway this post is for my storyline, here it is:

Toxin Games inc. (TG inc.)
---------------------------------------------
SLAUGHTERED Story Line
---------------------------------------------

Prolog:

It’s the year 2050, there is a moon base built by the United States Marines for standard army weapons and biochemical weapons. This base was built in 2020. So far there are a bunch of research going on in the base for different types of weapons for the United States Army.
Anyway, like I said, it is the year 2050 and scientists were connected to the moon base through radio transmitters, but all of a sudden a scientist, which is down on Earth, heard something in the background of the transmitter that is connected to the moon base, then the feed was disconnected for some odd reason. The scientists were suspicious about what was going on up there, so they contacted a special Marine group, Team (undecided name), which is your team.

More coming soon, hope you liked it because I really tried to think up of one lol!

I know I haven't been posting much on my game, this is because I have been working on my game (obviously). Attached to this post is another screenshot that expresses creepyness atmosphere. If you can see, in the background you can see something...

Edit - I've got into the habit to create music for my game. I use Mixman Pro, I have gotten it 4 years ago and just started to use it again. This is good news because I can distribute a my game to people. I will get rid of the music created by real artists and replace it with my music.

2nd Edit - In the beginning of next month I will probably post a demo. Stay Tuned.

Now, even thought that last screenie had nothing going on, its cool!
I love what you did with the lighting and the blood splat.
Now all you need to do is put lightmapping to max and it will be great.

For more info, I have buzzing sounds for lights. (Ex. If a light is flickering then it will make a flashing buzzing sound, cool eh?)

I also want to say that I am trying to replace most of the sounds for the guns used in my game so the player will have a newer feel to a FPSC created game.

Edit: To post more info, I will be trying to make my game to have at least 20 levels. (note: the level number can go up just stay tuned for more info.) I also will try to keep lighting where it is necessary and I also will try to keep a good frame rate for those who don't like 25-0 fps (like me, I hate games who lag) just count on me and I will try my best with this creator.

Cool, I added sound effects to the following guns
1.) Tavor
2.) Colt
3.) LAW
4.) Modern Chain Gun
5.) Explosions to granades
6.) Mossberg (shot and pump)

Thats about it at this time, but I will edit more sounds even if the stock effects sounds just a little cheap I will get them replaced.

and they keep coming!

I'd like to say that I am having a blast on creating this game. What I think what is in creating a game is that you have to have fun with it or your finished product will be crap.

Also, I am actuall taking the time and learning to make my own scripts! I am going to take my time and make this game awsome!

This game has been in production since December of 2005. When I first got this program I really wanted to create a sci fi horror game. So far I have about 8-9 levels completed.

To answer Foxking's question, the demo will be out around the beginning or middle of next month. Stay tuned for more info!

Edit: I am also planning on doing voice acting too!

Easy, just edit the enemy's stats with the following:

Health = 1

HurtFall = 0

Then make it follow a waypoint and should die right when it moves, but to make it not make a sound then delete the character's soundset in the stats.

Tinyschu, this looks great.
I'm doing a Sci-Fi at the moment, and you may see some simularities.
Not that I'm stealing your ideas, but because you are setting things up simular to the way I do.
I love your use of blue lighting, and the other colors too.
It's a reminder of just how many lighting colors can be done when the full RGB triplet is at your disposal.
I also like that last shot where the control panel is set in front of the viewing window.
That looks like a real experimental environment.

Well done.

I have a question. How do you change the axis of rotation on the entities ( yes I know that "r" rotates them) but how do you change the axis it rotates on? I see alot of models that should be standing up lying over on it's side. and I can not figure out how to change the ambient lighting ( I do understand that these keys < > change the light in game but how do you get it to start out dark?

great screen shots by the way, I look forward to this game!
