Sorry for the late post. Ive been trying to beat Killzone and have not been on the forums in a couple days. Mr Flowerkohl, do you have milkshape? If not you should get it so that I can give you the sledgehammer in .ms3d format and you can edit it more. Only $30 for it, great program.

Hi,

Happy Easter to you too. And definitely still interested.

Are these models still planned for use in the WWII game you previously mentioned, and/or perhaps a model pack?

Vending machine looks good, not sure about the real products as that would limit the commercial use - perhaps use spoof products if time allows.

Keep up the good work!

Cheers, Rich.

Havok, the dumpster depresses me... I mean you have been increasingly making your models better, and now settle for a 24 poly model?

I finally thought of a name for my game. It is called "Warzone: Path to War." Check the attachment for the logo I made. I am still working on the storyline. There will be lots of custom media and hopefully some great looking guns. It is a little bit of modern warfare and a little bit of sci-fi warfare. Any comments or suggestions?

Thanx NIK! New model. This is a gun that I modeled, textured, and animated for NIK's project. Most of you already know that we are working as partners so here is some thing you can expect in NIK's project. It is calle an MP7A1. A nice Uzi type weapon.

Heres my comment, which you seem to be following quite adequately already:

Never waste detail on the model, when you can put it in the texture.

Very nice work.

@NIK
The gun is in, textured, animated, just have to fix one more problem and I will give it to you.

@Higgins
I got the texture thing figured out. It was showing but it was too bright because I put the emissive up to white in Milkshape. I have one more problem though. In FPSC, I can see the gun, but the back of the gun is cut-off. Do you know why?

It should look something like this:C:\Program Files\The Game Creators\FPS Creator.
The screenshot will be in the FPS Creator folder.

Hi,

My shots appear in the directory as described by NIK. One problem I have is FunctionLock on my keyboard. For using F12 it needs to be turned on but for using Printscreen it needs to be turned off, maybe something similar is happening to you?

Cheers, Rich.

I'm using a Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 1000 and on the keyboard is a key called "F Lock".

There's loads of shortcuts on all the Function keys so turning FLock off means I can use the shortcuts, turning FLock back on means I can use them as Function keys. It can get annoying.

Just thought that maybe your keyboard might have a similar set-up.

With regards to paint, open it & press print screen and see if you can paste from there, if not try holding shift+printscreen, or if like me you do have a FLock key then that needs to be turned off for PrintScreen to work.

Cheers, Rich.

It could be, the Function Lock feature was introduced by Microsoft with the Office keyboard.

What happens (if anything) when you press the OffliceLock key? When I press the FLock a little graphic comes up at the bottom right of my screen to show whether it is off or on.

To see if your Function keys are working as Function keys, try pressing F5 when viewing this thread - if it refreshes the page then it's working fine, if not then it sounds like your Function keys are multipurpose and something like the OfficeLock key you mention should switch between the two.

Took a look at your Game Logo, liked the bullet-hole effects, since it's a combination of Modern / SciFi warfare I like the font for the "Warzone" quite SciFi, but perhaps change the look of the "Path to War" to a more modern army font. (See attached example).

Could even make the background grey stripe look more like a road or maybe have it going from the front (bottom) of the image to the back (top) of the image. Just a suggestion.

Cheers, Rich.

Kind of.

Make the Warzone font a different colour to the yellow road stripes so they don't clash and place the stripes behind the Warzone letters so that it's running behind it and not through it.

Oh, and bring back the bullet holes (just in the warzone letters) as they looked good.

Just suggestions remember, it's your game.

Cheers, Rich.

the supressed uzi weapon is really nice. Im not so sure about the hand gun. The models are fine but it looks like you're having the same problem as me, i.e. getting it to look like the hand is holding the weapon rather than it being kinda limp.
Not a diss though. It's really quality work.

I didn't post before, but warzone:path to war is a cool title. Maybe the repetition of war isn't cool tho... what about like warzone:path to victory. or warzone:path to glory or something.
Whatever, what do I know, I'm just a simple peasant.

I hope you dont think I'm being critical, I think your work is really, really excellent. It's just better to give you some suggestions than kiss your a55!

Keep it up tho dude.

Thanks for the wonderful comments Butter fingers, but the reason it is called Path to War is because I plan to do a series of games, Path to War being the beginning to a huge war. That is why it is "Warzone: Path to War." And the weapon problem you mentioned is true. I find it hard to make hands gripping the weapon tightly. It is hard to make the animations move smoothly also. When I tried to make the hand hitting the clip in hard on my AK-47, I couldn't make it look like he actually used forc to push it in. I cant find a solution. BTW, Your AK-47 looks quite good Butter fingers. Anyways, here is a new model I just finished. It is a rusty broken down plane that will be used for scenery in my game. I am quite proud of it. Comments please.

I like it, besides the Butt. All your guns are really basic, but look great when they are textured, which means the file size will be low.
