how are you supposed to know how many posts you have? it's hidden to discourage spammers isn't it?

Argh i wan't this game so bad now!

The screenshots look great - reviews are great - 1/16 posts are bug reports so there are few bugs.

Your next game - i presume it will be better but do you mind if i get lots of 9 year olds to bug you instad of one - more efficiency!

It is obvious you're a genius. A lot like a FarCry plot. I played it and I give it a Giga-bee-million out of 10. lol Listen, I'm working on a game and I'd like it if you'd join SYE FYE at least for a day and help create maps or add that "scare" to a level. I'd give you a free version and put you as number two in my credits. This could be a game for your brother and your community.

email me at rdali3n@hotmail.com or check out my Insomnia showcase thread. Thanks!

For the cutscenes, I just recorded in-game material using auto screen recorder, and assembled it with Windows Movie Maker.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Rilejarom: You've been asking all sorts of people around the forum to join your team. lol

Luke341pi:
1. I just understood your name. 314pi = 3.14 pi. Gotchya.
2. I think it's funny that people are still posting about your game. Great game. I was bored, so I decided to play it the other day. lol

Besides the lag I experienced, this was one the best games I played besides Butterfingers Umbra, and demo of Fireflies.

Very immersive storyline.
And I was very impressed of how you've done the cut scenes with Windows Movie Maker, that was very innovative. Somewhat of idea I had myself, but you proved that it works. People that don't have excellent modeling skills can capture ingame action with Fraps or other screen capturing software and chop it up in a movie editor as they see fit, and get pretty creative.

If you every make another game on this level or better, try to keep the FPS at 33. Of course it may take trial error.

All in all good game.

Thanks for the comments!

I forgot to mention that some of the cutscene material was animated in Flash (like smoke rising from a character's cigarette).

Luke, congrats on a truly great game. For some reason, the download didn't ever work for me, so I used a friend's computer to get it. It didn't work on his either, but I googled your game and it's #1 on the list.

Was that all captured within the FPSC environment, or was it separate? I'm saying that because I wanted to know if you were able put flash animation ingame while capturing the action for your cutscene. If true, that sure would be nice to use flash animation within FPSC, if you were able to achieve this.

I finally got to play this...outstanding job, Luke! I see a few of my models mixed in there (brought a smile to my face). The storyline was done very well, and the load screens reminded me alot of Max Payne. The only real issue was some low frame rates at certain points (I blame FPSC for that though). Great outdoor levels as well.

I really liked the ending. I highly recommend this experience.

Thanks Keith!

bsgamemaker, the Flash animation was used only in certain cutscene videos, not in anything in-game. And it was all made from FPSC screenshots.

Took me a few mins to download last night and had no probs with that (using firefox for downoads as it is better at handling large files than IE by the way).

Played the game up to the point when I went into the lift a second time and got stuck, the lift would not go anywhere then.

Very, very, nicely made game I thought, too scary for the faint of heart or younger players. Atmosphere was just right for this type of game and aided by the sound clips.

Really any bugs are probably just due to FPSC, the see-through door springs to mind which is locked but you can walk through and fall to your death.

Good story with a twist. I think you should consider cleaning up the rough edges and then selling the game, should make you a few dollars

I beleive I've already said this but Good game Luke I've probally got to try it again though - my new video board (er...not too new now though) should help my framerate issues I had before, making it more fun to play.

So I downloaded and played it. SOOO AWESOME!!! The only part I didn't like was the helicopter cutscene where it went from video game to real life recorded helicopter. That was korny. Other than that it was awesome.

Really nice game. One of the most interesting parts was when you have a choice of two different routes and the lots of story twists were cool as well. How did you remap the controls though?

Me and my friend were playing it at 10:00 at night, and we almost peed our pants. It's sooo scary and it friggin rocks. Maybe in the morning we'll play again, but it's to scary right now. I love it, it tops all fpsc games by a mile.

Fantastic so far but, it is possible for silly people to get back on the lift at level 3 and get stuck up the lift shaft having not saved their game and unable to kill themselves

this was really good, quite a production. I skipped part one but part 2 was bril 10/10. It must have taken ages. I wish I could get my npcs to stay awake like yours

Yeah it happened to me, I forgot lifts in FPSC only have one direction and was not to know there was not another lift, stairs or transporter.

The only other annoying aspect that I recall was the amount of times you needed to shoot enemies to kill them.

Thanks for letting me know about that, DarkFact, and thanks for the tip Locrian. Unfortunately I posted info about this game on so many message boards that I don't even remember them all. Replacing the image links with animal porn would be a bad idea in that case. But that thread hasn't had any activity since january, so I think I will just monitor it and make sure it doesn't come to life again. I can't believe some people would prefer to steal someone else's work and present it as their own instead of making something themselves.
