Alright, since this is mainly a programming and 3d forum, people probably have some brains.

If anyone wants a riddle on here, just tell me the riddle, and i'll edit it onto the top post. Once it is answered correctly, I will put a "-Answered" tag at the end.

Just try to answer a riddle, and post as many as you can.

So, I'll start out with some common riddles, that I am sure people can solve.

Alright, I have listed the first two, you list yours.

New riddles:

It has existed forever, you can't see, you can't stop it, but without it you would cease to exist. What is "it"?
-

You can never see it, yet it is fixed in front of you. What is it?
-

What can you always see, but no matter how far you travel, never reach?
-

A man went in to a shop and asked: "How much is 1?"
"£1.20" replied the shopkeeper.
"How much are 10?" asked the man,
"£2.40" replied the shopkeeper,
"I'll have a 100" said the man,
The shopkeeper charged him £3.60, what was the man buying?
-

Whats at the end of the alphabet?
It isnt Z.
-

This isnt really a riddle but it confused my teacher -
What is the opposite to fish?
-

What goes on four legs in the morning, on two legs at noon, and on three legs in the evening?
-

Theres a room, with three lightes and a door and outside the room there are three light switches. You can only go in the room once and the light switches are far away from the door. Once you open the door you have to go in.The roof is kind of low and there is no window in the door. How would you find out what switch goes to wich light?
-

I have a tail, and I have a head, but I don't have a body, and I'm not a snake. What am I?
-

A Theif steals 3 Jade balls from a shrine in a Jungle.
After escaping, the theif comes to a 100m foot bridge which has a maximum weight of 100KG.
Knowing that he himself weighs 88KG, and each of the balls weighs 5KG, he quickly realizes he will not be able to cross the bridge by any normal means.
However, he works out a way to do it.
How?

Hints: He didn't roll them (it's a foot bridge, they'd roll off!).
He didn't throw them across.
He didn't find another way around, he DID cross the bridge.
He did keep all three Jade balls with him at all times across the bridge (the authorities were hot on his tail, afterall!).
-

A man is found hung in his jail cell, from the light.
The cell is quite large: 5x5x3.5m.
There is nothing else in the cell except the man, the rope he used to hang himself, and a puddle of water.
His feet are measured to be a meter off the ground.
How did he manage to hang himself?

Hint: No, he didn't jump."

There is a fork in the road guarded by two men. One road leads to heaven while the other leads to hell.

You get trapped inside a room. The room has two doors. One door will kill you if you open it, and the other door leads out of the room into saftey.
But you do not know which door is the death trap, and which one is
the safe one.
Beside each door is a robot. There are two robots.
They both know which door is which.
You can ask one of the robots one question, but only one, no more. After you ask one of the robots the question, they answer it, and then they both self-destruct.
One of the robots always lies, and one of the robots always tells the truth. You however, do not know which robot is which.
What is the question that you can ask one of the robots that would tell you which door is the safe one?

It starts with E, ends with E, and only has one letter. What is it?
Hint: It is not the letter E.

A horse travels the same distance every day.
Strangely, two of its legs travel 30 miles each day and the other two legs travel nearly 31 miles.
It would seem that two of the horse's legs must be one mile ahead of the other two legs, but of course this can't be true.
Since the horse is normal, how is this situation possible?
-Answered

A man is given the choice to be hung or shot. If he makes a true statement, he will be shot, if he lies, he will be hanged. What can he say so that he will not be shot or hanged?
-Answered

Suppose that you want to go to heaven, and you are given the chance to ask only one question directed to only one of the two men. One man will always tell the truth, while the other will always tell a lie, but you can't tell them apart.

What question must you ask to know which way is heaven?
-Answered

To scramble up stone, and be information prone.

It may take me a while to get new riddles on the first post, just so you people know .

NOTICE: Riddles don't go into "Answered" until someone answers them, and then the author confirms that answer as correct.

NOTICE: Riddles with images need to supply the link to the image in order to be able to be posted. They will be in the long riddles area under a CODE tag if the images are over 200 x 200.

The Person99 awards go to: 1. Jack the Ripper for hardest crime scenes. 2. Peter Petrelli for most powers. 3. Superman for longest flight. 4. "The Doctor" for best time travel machine.

You may use only one writing instrument
You may not alter any line you have drawn
You may not draw over lines
You may not lift up your writing instruement
You may not alter your drawing space (ie, folding or cutting paper)

Any line includes the middle lines.

Also inorder to prove you completed the task, you must submit a "comic strip" of each step

I do this so that people can quote old ones, and try to answer them.

Your nose.

What goes on four legs in the morning, on two legs at noon, and on three legs in the evening?

Humans.
Four legs: Baby
Two legs: Adult
Three legs: Adult with cane

Actually, most people now get 4-legged canes, so the riddle should now be:

What goes on four legs in the morning, on two legs at non, and on six legs in the evening?

Well, we have to wait for the author's confirmation before I can post it under "Answered".

I have a really tough one:

The answer was the horizon, and not your nose, which clearly anyone except someone who's just had their head blown up could reach.

As for the robot one, you asked Robot A which door Robot B would say is the safe one. Both robots will respond with the death door, since the lying robot would lie and tell you the truth bot would give you the death door, and the truth bot would be honest and tell you the lying robot would give you the death door. Bloody hell, that's hard to explain.

Here's some:

Quote: "There's four people sitting down, like this:

A | B C D

Where A, B, C & D are the people, and | is a wall.

They are all looking at the wall.
None of them can turn around, and they are not allowed to communicate with eachother.
Once seated, they are each given a sticker on their back.
There are only two colours (Yellow & Red), and two of each sticker.
They are layed out like:

Y | R Y R

The first of the four people to guess which colour they have on their backs wins.

Only one person, however, can guess correctly.

Who is it, and why?

Hint: Yes, only D can see C's sticker. Both C & D can see B's sticker - A & B can only see the wall.
The wall is not transparent.
The wall is not reflective."

@Jess

It's C, because he knows that if D saw two of the same colour, he would shout out his colour. Since he hasn't, D must be looking at a red and a yellow (and therefore not know which colour he is, as there is 1 red and 1 yellow remaining). Since C can see B is red, and he knows he has to be a different colour, he shouts yellow. I like that one. Proper tough.

The last one, I'm guessing has to be something to do with ice because of the puddle of water? But not sure if that breaks the rules.

The second one, I was thinking he juggled them as he went, but in real world physics, the downwards force caused by throwing them up would negate the weight loss (for the moment he'd be heavier), so not sure if that's the answer? Still thinking.

Edit: He only needed to lose 3 kilos, so did he strip naked and relieve himself in the bushes quickly?

You're right on both counts.

(I did think about the force of the ball landing and having to push up, but if he started juggling before he got onto the bridge, then it'd balance out... sorta. It's definatly not perfect, though )
