lol Snowblind I forgot to mention that Band of Brothers quote! Another of my favorites from BoB is when Compton sees his two friends blown to bits in Bastogne and he goes "muh...muh...muh... MEDIC!" before dropping his helmet. I think that's the greatest line in television history in terms of being emotionally powerful. But eh, this is more about funny quotes, so how's about I quote David Schwimmer as he charges Curahee:

"High Ho Silver!"

Hilarious! And he's wearing short-shorts, it makes it classic. Probably the best line he's ever had, lol

Wow... Most of those quotes mean absolutely nothing to me... They have not context at all, and end up just being very random sentances.

Anyhoo, here's one from The 12th Man CD:

Quote: "Security: "Blow, or I'll freeze you away!"
Richy Beno: "Alright security, take them out"
Security: "My pleasure, Mr Beno!"
*click* *click* [cocking his gun]
Richy: "No, no, I mean take them out of the building!"
Security: "Oh, right you are Mr Beno!""

And another one I have stuck on my Dorm room Door:

Quote: "You come to Love not by finding the perfect person, but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly"

- Sam Keen

Finally, a Jack Handy quote:
Quote: "The other day, I shot an elephant in my pyjamas. How he got into my pyjamas, I have no idea!"

Hmmmmm, those quotes seem just as random!, unless an elephant really is running round in your PJ's I'd accuse that last quote of the same crime of 'no context' .

Hah, yes, probably best quote ever. What a guy... I actually used that on these forums a few days for a perfectly good reason.

I don't swing that way, but what a guy...

Oh, and the context thing is a good point. Apart from the obviously brilliant Red Dwarf line and the horror saviour that is Darkplace. Obviously... Anyway, my Ted quote was from the fast show where they play a drinking game where you have to put vegetables before each word of a sentence. Ted's boss comes in with important news, but they make him join in. Then he does the line of "Tomato Ted Obergine Your Potato Wifes Turnip Dead". Brilliant Afterwards he sings "You were always on my mind" at the funeral. Which is brilliant (BRILLIANT!!!! - another link. Nevermind...) because he keeps looking at Ted. Basically he loves Ted but never mentions it. Very amusing.

Cheers

I have many quotes in my head but my all time personal favorite has to be:

Van, that last one wasn't meant to have any context, that's the whole thing.
It's more of a one-liner than something quotable, but I didn't say it, so I'm quoting it

Didn't Shaft say "I came here to kick ass and chew bubble gum...and I'm all out of bubble gum"? If he did, it was looong before Duke Nukem was a concept... I have no idea who or what a Roddy Piper is though. But I think Shaft said it first, at any rate, hehe.

What you never saw Hell comes to Frogtown?????

He was a wrestler 70's 80's even early 90's I think. Aound the time of Greg the Hammer, Andre, Early Hogan. He wore a kilt all the time and had a habit of smaking people silly with bagpipes. IIRC he also had a saturday morning cartoon for awhile.

Hmmm... Maybe the whole song "Kickapoo" by Tenacious D. I won't post the text here beacuse of language used in it.

(don't remember who said anything of these and I've translated it fast, so probably there are many mistakes)

Whenever I come across a quote I like, I write it into my quotes text file.

1. "The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a man's determination" - Tommy Lasorda

2. "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?"
"Who shall watch the watchers?" (not sure of origin)

3. "Never let your schooling interfere with your education" - Mark Twain

4. "we're not changing the world, we're building a product that helps people buy crap and watch porn" - Seagate CEO

"It’s no secret that really hot chicks aren’t held up to the same standards of communication that the rest of the humans are, but it’s really kind of shocking when you witness just how little some of them have in the tank. They just realized really early in life, that they’re sexually attractive, and that people are going to be nice to them no matter what, and that if they’re around men, they’ll always be the center of attention, now matter how little they have to say. They just figured, f*ck it… I’ll just bank on this."

"There is a tide in the affairs of men,
Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune.
Omitted, all the voyage of their life is
bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat.
And we must take the current when it serves,
or lose our ventures"

-William Shakespeare

I'm in the process of writing a piece of literature in which I state quotes I favor or quotes I have made (which means they aren't quotes), and I describe each and my perspective on them.

That one up there is my all time favorite.
