This is looking very cool. I am curious how you are making the lightning. Are you using seeded fractal data?

this looks amazing just like many other effects systems. but my question is: is it fast? many effects systems have to be tweaked so much to ones own needs to increase the speed that they end up creating their own anyway...

@alquerian : lightning effect are prerendering with a particle system with a basic lightning image

@jasonhtml: i can't really answer to that because i don't have any comparaison... But be sure that the fact that it would be a dll will make it faster. Many parametters alow you to set the effects according to your computer power.

I included bloom and hdr shader that can be activate or not when you want, to see the result if you use one of those shaders in your games

new video that show the new feature that allow you to directly modifie the textures in the editor (you can change the color and saturation of a texture and then save it simply ). This video show allow the HDR preview and two ice effects (inspired by Mike Inel ice effect in his Nvidia entry IOTT)

hope you like it

Wow... This plugin will rock!
If I may suggest, add fog/smoke (billboards) on the ice effects so it would look colder...

... Heheh, I advice watching kingdom hearts 2, some final fantasies, and Zone of the Enders 2 for some good effects... They might inspire you!

It's beautifull!!!

When can we buy it?

Where can we buy it?

I like it, I want it now. Please...

A marketing advice:
Make a not complete version 1, sell it now.
Using a customer code, you give the versions 2 and more free to old customers.
You can get money now, and the words about your product can spread(a post in a forum is a thing really little, it's not good marketing).

yours

Wow! The avatar is popular! Brendy boy, Bhax, and Fabio all use it... Wonder who else does..

Anyways, this is very good. I too suggest you sell an EA version. (Provided saving/loading works, and it is stable enough)

Dude you have saved everyone weeks of work! All your effects look like something like something from Final Fantasy (i mean that as a compliment)..

I wish you the best of luck with this! If you could try and stick some flame effects in there - and I'm sold.

This is amazing!

Graphiboc, you completely hooked me with this product.

How much will this cost? Because I am definitely buying this- no matter what!

This is just so great, I can not wait to use this in DBPro.

hello everybody
sry i was on hollidays
AES is almost finished and as great new features
Script system works perfectly and now you can switch AES in two different mode : classic mode (at each loop, the effetcs are refreshed one time, so if you have some lag, the effects are more slow) and timer mode (the refresh is based on the timer of your computer, so you can go from 200 to 30 FPS without any visual difference! ).
Some screens and/or movies soon.

thanks for all yours comments

hello every ones. I have many problems of time because of my study that are hard and need a lot of work.

Just to show you a new video extract from the demo of AES i made this summer (models are from Mike Inel, with his permition)
hope you will like it!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfL5hEo9OQ0

the only problem i have with AEs is that preload all the images are very long :/ And i don't really know why and how to make better it, but when DBP loads a lot of images, he becomes more and more slowly to load images (but there isn't any lag then in the game, just when DBP loads images)

ps:AES is now almost totally finished (just need to be cenverted to a dll, and to make help to use it) but i have to think about this problem before to release it.

Maybe plugin or multi-threading would help on loading times?

have you tried storing the images to a memblock outside of the program, then loading from the memblock file rather than each image file?

@Ortu:i don't really understand your suggestion :/
could you explain a bit more please?

@everyone:Apparently i made a mistake about mike inels models i wans only unable to use the other models and not the two characters models
sry to mike inel. In the next videos you will see the other models.

thanks for your comments.

@Roxas:yes multi-thread could be an interresting solution but i don't really know how to do that with DBP... and if i use this, you will have to be sure that effects have been loaded before use them but i think it's not a problem...

Multithreading!

Solution 1:
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=121503&b=6
Not so safe multithreading!

Solution 2:
Convert your images to memblocks!
Then load them using this threaded plugin
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=117767&b=1

Hope that makes things faster!
