Well after some hard work on the models and layout from the level
and such.....i can proudly say that...
I am still far from done.

But serious i have been working on a level ever since i saw
Jon Fletcher his thread in the X10 board.

I immediately started to think about a possible X10 game.
But whats a X10 game without X10 models?!?
(Not really X10 models....only normal maps on them and such)

When seeing his Juggernaut (which is great by the way!)
I began to model a "destroyed city" because i thought
the juggernaut would fit into it.

These models where made especially for a X10 game. (made with FPSC X10 of course)

The textures are not done by me they are from 3d total textures.
(which i own, the textures not the company)
But i want to replace them even though they are from high quality.
Its just when i look at my models i can only see the textures
who arent made by me so....

This isnt a game yet i didnt think about any storyline so...
Like the Title says "Test level".

But i am thinking of making a game with lots of zombies in it!
Nah just joking...

Well enough chit chat, next post will contain screenies of the level which is still W.I.P!
in FPSC!

Inside one of the several destroyed buildings
(Thank you so much Roger Wilco for the tutorial concerning Alpha
Mapping cant thank you enough!)

The lightrays are done by me!

Same building different view.

Still the same. (Note like i said its still W.I.P
so this does not reflect the end product!)

Outside of the building!

Different view.

Inside another building!

Different view!

Still the same.

Other building now just a close up from the lightrays.
Note:
Models arent done yet. They need to be edited so as the UV Map.

All these buildings are segments so the collision works fine.
But! I only have 1 problem with 2 buildings...
Oh this isnt any question i already know the answer...

But this is the problem.....collision

The 2 buildings that i am talking about (not in the screenies)
are different objects in 3ds max so not 1....

When i load them into Segment Maker and i export them as a
FPS-file it works but the collision doesnt, it is because
they are several objects which are battling with collision.
So i'll work on that.

I am still working on different buildings and traffic lighting
and such.....the real street entities!
But of course destroyed.

WOW! You should mail it to Jon and ask him to import it to X10 (and add some juggernauts).

Thanks mate i am glad you liked it!

Accoun.
That would be a great idea....
But sadly i cant, since i cant give the textures away.
Otherwise i could try.

Endless Fps Team.
Thanks man.
But no i dont have a demo yet.
Maybe make a demo soon....

TEST OF WILL.
Thanks and great advice!
I shall take a look into it.

Inspire.
They are seperate models.
And the textures are all different from:
1024x1024 to 2048x2048.

vorconan.
I think that should take forever....(not really but it would
take a long time)

Endless Fps Team.
I have send you an email.

I have some new screenies
just a minor "update".

Showing some new entities (rubble).
I also made a new building but i didnt exported it yet since it isnt done.
But will export it soon and then post some screenshots!

Anyway here are the screenies!

Dont mind the cars i will replace them, simply... i dont like them.

I am still working on the what older buildings (screenies)
Right now you can see the end of the level....
But i already have a solution for that.

And also as you can see the BIG yellow sort of building...
Right now it has nothing in it or behind it.
But i already made an "interior" for it but also forgot to
export it.

As for the cars.... If someone likes them please reply.
Cause i'll post them here if you like them.

I need to follow some tutorials for car modelling.

Well okey hope you like the screenshots!

Nice, but IMO you should use Jons Beretta, not MP5 guns. (His beretta is better)

It looks like it was made with 3D Studio Max.
It has a quality similiar to Rolfy's new game Eldora.
And Rolfy does use 3D Studio Max.
Just a speculation of what Cheese Cake is using.

All in all, looking good.

Wow, very nice. Does it run well? It obviously wouldn't be able to use FPSC's portal system, considering that you modeled the level.

Wow, looks straight out of HL2. Also in screen shots 5 and 10, I thought the lighting was overkill with the buildings. I like it a lot! It would be SO perfect for ECHOLABS WEST! I wish I had something to offer you because I can't model such art.

Great job!

Thanks i almost forgot about his berreta.
I should download it sometime.

Thanks mate glad you liked it!
bsgamemaker is right i made those in 3d studio max.

bsgamemaker.
Thanks man glad you liked it.

OLEG.
No man sorry used 3ds max all the way. except for the textures.

Inspire.
Yeah actually it does runs well into my surprise.
First i thought to make them entities but no...
Then the collision is like hell.
So segments were the best option and then even sometimes
it would cause some problem with the collision...
But already figured that out.

ASTEK.
Yeah you are right about the lighting maybe (maybe) i will delete some.
But thanks that you liked it even though HL2 is of much better quality its glad to hear such a compliment!
And as for your game i looked and its looking good!
I really mean it.

The buildings itself were made with 3ds max.
Then i exported them as X-format and imported them into Segment Maker.

And saved it as a FPS-file.

3d max ? din't know that you are a user of it.
Anyway the buildings and the strees are looking very nice.
I like your new screens , i wish i could make that use of segments like you.
I still have collision problem with it

Its very easy to make your own meshes without collision problems.

The mesh that you want to make and import into segment maker
must be 1 object or else it would cause some problems.

(at least thats what it does with me)

And actually thats all, i create my meshes this way
and it all works fine.

And it might be a good idea to not go trigger happy with the lighting. Best Luck! Will check back soon!

nice work... but that sure looks kinda clean for a destoyed city... looks like the street cleaners just went through that cobblestone block up there, and the wall washers took special care of a few of those half standing walls...

ya know i'm just kidding around... i know it's a work in progress, and you still have more artwork to do... but try and add a lil more dirt and dust and grime to the cityscape... and maybe some smoke from burnt out ruins... and a darker and more forboding sky...

take a look at the Gears trailers... Mad World for instance...
now that's a destoyed city...

good luck...

Your game looks nice as well but you're treating me like crap. As for this showcase, how about we keep it strict to his work before you get slapped by a mod or something.

Red Ocktober.
Yeah i already saw the movie on youtube.
Was very great but then again....
You cant compare "high class game" with any FPSC game.
I know about the textures not yet working on it
to busy with the level lay out and new buildings.

But thanks man for helping.

I was just curious, but I guess it came across rude.

Back on topic:

Now that I think of it, Cheesecake, it looks like the lighting is part of the building model. I think that you should make a separate entity for that.

Ver nice,You may want to scale up your decals so they hit the ground, but this may cause some parts to go thru' walls etc, looks like you may have to create a number of different ones to suit the scene, some long and narrow some short and wide.
