Well it all started back in the great flood of `86. I was just a lad when the storm hit. I can still remeber the lightning crashing through the windows illuminating every bead of sweat on my brow. thats where flashing comes from, because everynight, dreams return to haunt me of the storm, and how it killed my pet snail, snall. and so, my forum nae became flashing snall.

just freaking kidding. there is no reason.

Mine is actually not my real name in case any of you thought it was . I first used it for my first online experience, which was Star Wars Galaxies. I needed up a Star Wars sounding name, so made up Gil Galvanti. So it just stuck and I have used it on every internet related thing since . I also prefer not to use my real name (not as much now as when I started doing online stuff a while ago), and like the name Gil anyways .

I use my real name because I still remember it, and if I don't it is no problem because I have it written on a piece of masking tape pasted on the bottom of the monitor. Now where was I? Oh yes, actually there are some other folks who use their real name, including a lot of the TGC staff and Cash Curtis."

Lol .

My user name used to be "DB User 2006+", the reason for this was I had bought DBP, and had been using it since February 2006.

My current user name is now Aaron Miller. This is because I got tired of "DB User 2006+".

Cheers,

I have used Hobgoblin Lord since early BBS days, kind of goes to the fact that at that time 99% of users played D&D and we always had online games via message boards.

Darth Vader because I am a Star Wars geek!
Although every were else my user name is Tacketh which is my surname mixed up. It was invented by a friend when he recorded me on a skype call and remixed it to sound like he was interviewing me.

Today I found a thread where I was explaining something and I'd completely forgotten about it, it was weird like reading someone else's writing.

OBese87 is a good name because it's always free
One of my friends made up the OBese part because my initials are OB and it is ironic because I'm as skinny as a rake!
My other name is Death_Slayer1. I came up with it during a rant about the stupid names that people come up with trying to sound evil or cool. I think it's funny because A: how can you slay death? B: what's the point in the 1? C: It sounds like a serious name.
It still makes me chuckle

I was originally Ravens Gate, The title of the first book in the series of horror novels by Anthony Horowitz, Then the second book came out, and I changed my name to that (Evil Star), but now I can't be Nightrise (Book Three) because we can't change our names anymore...*sniff*

Used to just use Mr Flibble, but then I needed something original. It's now just a l33tification of my former nick. Not the coolest of names, but it sure is unique. Google it, and you'll only find me, and the day someone else uses it is the day I snap.

Well if you must now, I used Pyramid because of DB's pyramid. Gotta love it. So I mixed in Pyramid and Games and Ltd. and I had a forum name and an imaginary company... Understand rubberband?

I didn't want to mention 2 legal things in one thread

Yeah to be a Ltd company (a company that is a person in it's own right) you have to be registered with Companies house and provide yearly accounts by law. Whenever you claim Ltd you're supposed to also give your companies house number too.

The idea behind seperating your company legaly from yourself (otherwise you'd be a sole trader) is so if your company is ever sued you can just close it and not lose your home!

erm, mines a long one;

I got the internet back when i was 14 (so about 8 and a bit years ago now) I didn't want to use my real name on the internet as a precaution, especially when you've got a surname like mine. So I plumped for Manic Ant, which used my initials from my real name. I signed up for free hosting with tripod, and the emails i received from them were addressed to my "first" name, ie "Dear Manic,"...

I figured, "hey, Manic's cooler than the full thing", and so I stuck with it. You can see the remnants of my youth in my email address now, although now I read it as man, I can't

so now you know.

Manic

I started off calling myself "Berserker". Then I changed the "s" to "z" and was going by "Berzerker". Then people would address me as "Berz" to save themselves some typing and I hated that so I changed it to "Zerk".
