I guess that this nice shiny page means nothing to you?

I guess I'll just take it.

So I bought a ThinkPad. IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad T60 with an XGA panel , 2GB's of RAM, 80GB storage space... Quite happy with it, despite the poor battery life, XGA panel and the lack of decent Linux support for the Intel 945 it has got, not like I play any other game than Quake, Rise of The Triad and DooM. Got Arch up and running on it. It's quite lovely actually. Any other ThinkPad owners out there?

Sorry, wasn't nagging, just making sure you received. Erm, you seem kinda stressed and busy (I'm just guessing from the [freneticness | frenecity | ?? ] of your avatar and sig. Actually "Flight of the Bumblebee" started playing in my mind).

... In other exciting news: For the love of Lain and all that is Wired, why?! WHY!?!?!?!

Please, somebody tell me, why does this exist?

ThinkPad SL510 and I love it. It's not something I really use for gaming because its got a measly Intel GMA, but it's a good solid laptop and very reliable. I've got it set up with Windows 8 Pro and Ubuntu and both boot up nicely. It is their cheapest range for ThinkPads, so it lacks some of the durability features of more expensive models (like the T series), but very satisfied with the quality of it.

The battery life on mine is fine, but from the sounds of it, you've got an old model, so I assume its second hand and the battery has had wear and tear. I've had my ThinkPad for 2 years now and its battery still has a decent amount of life, compared to my Acer, which survived enough past the warranty (1 year standard) and now it'll barely last 5 minutes...

Hi. ThinkPad T61, I think it is. Has ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 or something similar (SM3 support) and 2GB RAM. Dual core Intel @ 1.8Ghz. The battery life on mine feels fine considering the age of the thing. I normally turn the screen brightness down (Fn + End on mine). I'm running Linux Mint 14 on this thing just fine, btw. Windows 8 runs okay-ish, but there's no proper driver support for the GPU, so I have to use Linux Mint to actually watch any videos. (Thanks Windows 8!) Also, I removed the 80GB HDD that came with mine and put in a 64GB SSD. Couldn't afford a 128GB SSD at the time. Works pretty well!

As a general note, I like Slackware but I wanted to try Mint's newest version out on my laptop to see how it handles. It makes some things easier.

I may only have Lvl 10 on the keyboard 'n mouse, but I have lvl 9999 (cannot be exceded) on the following controlers:
Famicom (NES)
Sega (Mega Drive II)
Playstation (all versions)
Generic PC Gamepads

I once Played Rockman (Megaman to you American-jin) on my PCs emulator while watching Ah! My Goddess - it was the dub and the acting was awful and using my foot to overlevel Tidus in FF10.

And "Yes, I do" to the next question.
And "You're welcome" to the next poster.

Wow, this is the most amusing thing I've read today.

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1848029/why-not-port-linux-kernel-to-common-lisp

Does this guy even comprehend how many lines of code the linux kernel has?! And he wants to rewrite it in a language that has poor support for low level implementation?

Here are the lines of code in the linux kernel:

That's pretty good nonZero, but what's your attack speed? Mine is 345 KPM (Keystrokes per minute).

Also, have you defeated the mega troll in the 4chan dungeon? If so what loot did you get? I got the 'Level 56 Flame-Retardant Suit' and the 'Level 99 Flame-Thrower'

Oh come on. We're trying to talk with sigs here and you rudely interrupt.

Oh, Dark Frager... Thou art truly naive if thou thinkest the "Mega Troll" of 4chan is te most fearsome of beasties. Tis true that 4chan did take mine childhood from me but 4chan is but one of many places off the edge of the map. Gird thyself with despair if it be thine wish to travel any further. There are lands beyond 4chan so hideous that some hath indeed been raized to the ground while others taken over by righteos soldiers of the first internet crusade. One such place, 2ch.ru, was home to more frightentening material than thou could conjure in the mind's best eye.
And what were mine spoils, ask ye? Mine life and mine freedom.
And what were mine losses, ask ye? More than I would be inclined to speak of.

...Btw, my attack speed is 9999 BPM (Buttonpresses Per Minute). Although it has perhaps dropped to 9998 since I'm a little rusty. But these days, such factor are irrelevant. Once you understand the Data Flow, you need nothing as barbaric as attacks to defeat foes.
