Hi Braden713, send me screen shots of your models. Then if they look good enough we'll get you signed up to the store. You as an artist do the uploading. Yes that email address is correct.

Unknown Truth, the hands and gun look fine you just need to change the sleeve model, it's getting in the way a bit.

People, remember, if the cost is too inflated, then it may not be purchased. From what I have seen of TGC, they have always been fair. Of course they are in business for profit to put food on their table and roof over their heads but probably a lot of the 50% is eaten up by overhead. That means they will have to sell a lot of product and it appears to me they are confident they will be able to do so. If anyone has read the first post, they apparently will probably do some advertising in order to attract game developers who use other game development products. Even FPSC ready products (except maybe animated bipeds and quadpeds) can be used in other games.

I for one am very glad to see this happening. It will make my life, a non-graphic artist, a lot easier. It's very difficult to find someone here in town do some reasonably priced custom work.

More kudos to all at TGC. Have another round on me.

I can confirm that yes, the store tells you if the item is compatible with X9 or X10.

Game Creator Store was my idea! It's the first time I have seen your forum thread. The idea came from a mix of knowing that packs were never the ideal solution and mixing that with how iTunes works.

That's right, I'm thinking of the star wars defense plan, nevermind.

Soon

Didn't you say around mid-April Rick?

If it is on schedule, then we should see it in the next couple of weeks.

It doesn't matter really if it is a little later than initially expected, because it will definitly be worth the wait.

Have you guys seen the Model Pack 18 thread and the new characters from Bond1 that will be in the store?

Could you sell non entity/segment things such as, say muzzleflashes?

Also, if you are selling your model elsewhere, could you raise the price if you take it off the market, then put it on the store?

I can't see the images, but I have another question.

I have content almost ready to upload, I just have to test it in FPSC. How do I start my own seller account?

If you want to sell your stuff you need to send a samplescreenshot of your models to RickV.
And if he accepts you as a seller you will get upgraded to seller in the shop.

Hey Rick, say I got one of my models in the TGC store, could I have some of my profit in TGC store points? Say I made a chair for 50 points: could I have 10 cents in TGC points and 15 in real money? Or just one model that gives me TGC points and one that gives me real money? This could save me a lot of time on both sides. This would also make TGC more money as the points are just virtual and you guys would make money quicker this way.

I would like this idea if we could get points instead of cash for our models. That way I could sell something and buy something like trading. It would be VERY handy if thats possible!

You can't sell stuff unless you are a modeler for the store, only a select few are. And the points cost money to get.

Update - the store now has 600 items uploaded into it and the number of publishers is 14 with more planning to sign up.

We just have a few issues to sort and then we will test it with some trusted colleagues.

So hopefully we are not too far away from going live!

Here's a pic of what it looks like today.

@RickV

I'm under 16, so I can't make an account, but my parents agreed to sign permission, is this allowed?

Also, I'd like to make models for the store, but as I can't have a Paypal account, can you give me the profits in TGC store points?

For me it says 601, and that after I jsut uploaded 3 models
But it is good to hear that the shop soon will be released, me myslef think it is a easy to use tool to get exactly what you want.

No, you only need a credit card when you withdraw the money. But you can use the money in your account to but anything online that accepts paypal.

It's a debit card. With a credit card, you're paying for something with the bank's money which they give to you on "credit". A debit card uses your own money straight from your bank account.

Coffee grunt, you can still have a Paypal account. When you come round to taking money out from your Paypal account you do so by "adding a bank account". Ask your parents if you can add their bank details to your paypal account then you can use that for taking your money out. Or, you can leave the money in your Paypal account and spend it online.

When you're 16, join a bank and they will give you a debit card to use and so on.

Does paypal accept debit, if so can I withdraw money into my bank account through a debit card?

Because it dosen't make sense to develop for X10 yet since very few people can run games made with it.
