I wonder how long it'll take before people figure out how to rip the models you make out of the program

That's doubtful if the models are truly procedurally generated as suggested by Spore's dev team.

Yeah i have bought the creature creator only because it was 10$ and that isnt much. Im sure it covers the cost of shipping and making the labels for the box etc. But it is fun find my creatures on the sporepedia website under UnderLord

As far as I know Spore on the DS is a glorified Creature Creator, and not the full game that will be on PC this year. This is just what I heard.

Can't wait 'till the actual game comes out. I've had it pre-ordered for over a year now

Awsome. Cannot wait until the game itself come out, then I will conquer .

Anyway, have seen a video on youtube about a PSP version. Anyone knows anything about that (my girlfriend would love that)?

heh, I guess that was an obvious statement. What I meant was, the DS one looks like crap, and it doesn't look like it's going to be nearly as fun as the PC one...

I heard that sometime after the actual game comes out, there will be a spore store where you can upload your creature and EA will turn it into a toy model for around 20$ US. That's reason enough to get the game.

As for the real model made of creatures, Maxis is planning all kinds of merchandising for Spore when it's released. Ordering 3D models of your creatures is one of them. Another is a tradingcard game with player's content printed on the cards.

Of course it depends on its success, but you can find the info scattered over the internet and backed by Will Wright, the lead designer of Spore.

I read an article about how successful just the creature builder has been, and I am just amazed at how successful Spore has been. Granted it's free and/or cheep. But I imagine that the full game will be a big hit.
