I just wondered if Candle is still active on these forums. As i have browsed through looking for help i have always found his advice really helpfull and easy to understand. I haven't seen any of his posts recently. Does anyone know if he is still active in the forums?

Yes, I thought it might have been too advanced of an idea for you guys to handle, but I'll try explaining it.
Basically, a "social life" is when you make friends, hand out, talk about stuff, do things together, and generally enjoy the company of other people, but NOT ON A COMPUTER!!!! THATS RIGHT!!! You actually interact with people... IN REAL LIFE!!!

Not me. I'm one of those lucky few with the right genetic code that lets me eat whatever I want an not gain a thing. Other than that, yeah, I totally agree with you.

Actually, I take that back. I can definitely gain weight. But where it's stored, I don't know, because I can't tell the difference between me now and me when I left college (which was back in April and +10 lbs).

This topic is now a serious and well organized debate about which is better: Waffles or pancakes.
I'll start:
Waffles are better because they have all the little nooks and crannies. pancakes are flat, boring, and can't hold syrup as well.
Your rebuttal?

I said
Quote: "a serious and well organized debate"

If you want to state your side of the argument, you must give the facts and reasoning to support it.
Now then,
Although neither waffles nor pancakes are my favorite food, I still believe waffles to be superior. They are easier to cook, (A toaster Vs. a frying pan, pancake mix, a spatula, a hot stove, etc...) Easier to eat, (they hold together better than pancakes and don't always fall apart on the fork.) and are often thicker and more satisfying.

You must give facts and/or reasoning to support your side of the argument if you wish to win the debate.
Simply saying that one is better will get you nowhere.

Belgian waffles own pancakes, unless the pancakes have a +2 chocolate chip defense buff.

Ok, facts:

Waffles suck.
Pancakes are better than waffles.

Please keep to waffles and pancakes by themselves, or with butter and/or syrup. No blueberries, chocolate chips, or any other additives allowed. Sorry, should have stated that earlier.

Omega, I'm pretty sure Benjamin was stating the that he likes pancakes, and used his taste in food to back up the fact that he knows what food he likes. I'm pretty sure there's no trolling there.

Also, the fight is now down to, what, pancakes vs. waffles, with butter and/or syrup for toppings?

Um...then...it really doesn't matter. I guess I say pancakes. You can put more of 'em on your plate before your plate looks overfilled. However, waffles have all that unused potential volume, so you can only put, like, one or two on your plate before you start to look like you have too much food.

1. Waffles have squares on them, are you a square?

2. I never see people celebrating waffle day

3. Waffles all look the same, and are thus boring, pancakes can be shaped as you make them!(as well as coloured, I make mine black)

4. Unless your car sucks, you can't cook waffles(with the authentic waffle shape) on them during a hot day

Darkcoder, you are absolutely right. The above post shows the true genius of darkcoder, which is not in game design, but in his extensive research considering waffles and pancakes.

I fully agree with him, by the way. Pancakes are better.

Okay,
Facts:
Both pancakes and waffles are unhealthy and not good for you.
They taste like crap.
They aren't worth to be called "food".

If you treat your body with respect I don't think you should eat them.

I'm sure that ungarnished, either is fine, but the amount of sugar, syrup etc. that is often piled on top makes them quite unhealthy.

Well it all depends on how you cook them/eat them really, most americans I've seen have syrup and stuff on it, which really isn't that healthy, if you don't have anything on them and make them without putting any sugar in it I guess they're not bad for you. But what's kind of sad is that people don't do that, people put, jam, syrup chocolate, even ice cream, they put sugar on top of sugar pretty much (In lack of better words, I'm sure I'm getting something wrong there).

And I do eat pancakes every once in a while, but I tend to eat them as any other food, with vegetables and fruit (Apples, which sure have their sugar but if you don't over eat them they really aren't that unhealthy) to compensate for it, and I don't put anything like sugar or syrup or whatever on it as I find that very disgusting.

But again, if you don't have anything on then they aren't unhealthy in it self, but they aren't really healthy for you either, it's like it's somewhere in between. But who am I to judge who eats what, you can eat whatever you want, I'm just expressing my opinion somewhat.
And when I said I have vegetables and fruit with pancakes when I eat them I don't mean that I have them ON the actual pancakes in themselves, I just eat them with them. It makes a pretty nice flavor I think. But that might just be me. And I'm sure some people might be disgusted with me as I am disgusted with the people having tons of sugar and stuff on them.

So to continue my point from my previous post, I said that they were unhealthy and bad for the body, which they are, if you put overly much unhealthy stuff on them, but if you eat them as I do, I don't think they're unhealthy, but they probably aren't healthy either.

But then again, most things are unhealthy depending on what way you look at it from.
