Hey guys, you can own a gun in the UK and do clay pigeon (and real pigeon!) shooting. I live in the countryside and shotgun shooting is quite common, the difference is in the ease of aquiring a gun, and more specifically live rounds. Also, in the cadets we were given rifles (I don't know what kind, they looked like SA80s), and normally used blanks when we were practicing section attacks and stuff, but occasionally we had live rounds for open ranges and stuff.
But, the
main thing is we AREN'T allowed to take the law into our own hands! That's what the police do!
All these people saying there's no hunting in the UK are townies! There's plenty of hunting in the countryside.
Jeku, serious hunters and serious sport shooters would not be effected if they had the UK's gun laws in America (and it would
seem that gun crime would go down, based on the evidence I have seen).
