READY FOR PURCHASE HERE! http://www.fpscreator.com/pack39.html

VIDEO HERE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOtwC4wn8fo

New model pack available beginning March. Contains all my censored store zombies, now with normal/specular maps from my high poly source models and new shader! They look better than ever.

Also, a new set of FAST "mob" zombies. You won't outrun these zombies! I tried to recreate the feel of Left 4 Dead, and it came out beautifully in FPSC! And with my new character shader, they look even better than the zombies in Left 4 Dead.

They have:
-6 random attack and "rage" animations for unique "mob" type activity
-4 random death animations
-4 idle animations
-2 running animations

Also, I will include the biped files for EVERYTHING, so you can make your own zombies to take advantage of my superior scripting abilities.

Are the ragdoll effect an animation or actual ragdoll?

Looks fantastic!

They are just cleverly made animations, there are 4 different ones so they don't get too repetitive. It should be nice holdover until we get actual ragdoll from Lee.

They look absolutely stunning as always, bond1. The only thing that kind of took me out of thinking it was a full on Left 4 Dead level in a Bioshock theme was the sound effects repeating, although, I think that's gotta be the engine's fault. When you're fighting the "fast" zombies, there's a spot where 2 of them are playing the same sound clip over and over, and it's a little distracting. Also, after the slow zombies get shot, they each moan the exact same moan a second after each other. Is there a way to call a random sound clip for that? That seems to be the only way I can think of to avoid that problem.

And don't take this post as me trying to talk down on your work. It's definitely amazing. I was just trying to point out something I think might be worth looking into.

The best pack EVER!!! What prize will tehy be?

And tehy really are L4D-ish. Now you only need a charger, spitter and some other ones. A clown would be awesome too! But this is great!!! You already got a tank(dante)

OH! Can they walk waypoints (the fast ones) and when tehy see you, they will start running?

Awesome as usual bond, you have another purchaser waiting right here!

That would be a good inclusion for a mod, being able to select a random sound from a set of sound effects for things like character deaths, hits, etc.

Thanks everyone!

Price will be standard $19.99 USD as far as I know, I'm sending the previews off to TGC now for ESRB submission.

Sure! Just look in the script and see how I call random attack animations, and instead play a sound instead. Right now the sound is fixed for each animation, and on top of that I only use a few sounds. But you could easily expand upon the script to include more sounds, or play them randomly.

The MOB zombies don't walk waypoints by default, but the other zombies in the pack can. I thought it would be better just to have them stand around in their own little world. But you can add waypoint support to their scripts by looking at the other zombie's scripts as a template.

I was surprised how well I could pull off a L4D type of feel in FPSC, I won't lie and say "it's JUST like L4D!" But with a smartly laid out level, it feels close. And their "mob action" works very well considering it's FPSC, they will circle the player just like in L4D!

That's great news. I'll be sure to add some more sounds and randomize it. That'll make these perfect. Great job, bond1.

I have to say the fake normal mapped blood on their shirts looks EXTREMELY cheesy. Could you perhaps have versions without that included please?

Hehe maybe a little cheesy on clothing, but it looks SO cool on the face and arms. You can very easily paint those areas out of the normal map by filling it in with a color value of 128,128,255 on any area you don't want.

Since shiny jelly-blood is the trend nowadays, I think I'll leave it the way is. But like I said, it's really easy to edit the normal maps.

OK then. Also, they'd only look better than Left 4 Dead with the amazing gibbing system that Valve/Turtle Rock added and improved for Left 4 Dead 2. God that's awesome, watching zombie arms, legs, heads, ribs flying everywhere when you shoot a certain body part.

If anyone knows the workflow on how to convert skeletal animations to Milkshape or Fragmotion, I will include those as well.

Hmm... Perhaps bond might look in to exporting the biped as a .smd. Those can be imported in to milkshape and fragmo, although he'd need an extra max plugin (free of course)

These look amazing!

Question: How did you pull off the double animations for one action, like what i mean is say for when there attacking, how do they choose which animation to use? ( like animation one would be one attack and animation 2 would be attack number 2)

This intriges me.

Bond, I've basically purchased everything you ever created on the TGC store piece by piece, in addition to your Gore Pack with the other zombies. Is here a way I can get the new zombies and just the normal/specular maps for the old zombies without buying them all over again? Although the new zombies look pretty good for $19.95.

The best game to work on is the one you enjoy playing the most.

if the ESRB won't let TGC sell these on the site(thought i read on another post that they can't sell your gore pack that i purchased anymore)
will you sell them somewhere else for the same price?

This is perfect man, you never fail to impress and keep the bar for FPSC rising steadily. Do you know how waypoints would work with these new fast paced characters? It would definitely be splendid if they ran across waypoints as well, just the right thing to set up some killer atmospheric affects.

Patiently awaiting the release, keep up the great work

Cheers

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.
