@ZP: Thanks bro

@DOMINIK: Thanks, and Im just trying to help people out within my limited ability... if a mention would help people out then by all means

@Bruce: Replied to your mail and thanks

Wolf, Im done texturing the tree, here's a screen:

Im getting it imported into FPSC as we speak. Cool thing is that if you set it to have polygonal collision, then the player is actually able to climb the tree. Ill post some screens in a few mins.

DL will come in the next few posts

Cheers,
Anayar

The Giant Tree is done (it really is huge )

In Game:

(Yes, I am sitting on the branch of a tree in these views... the effect is quite cool actually)

DL is attached in this post. If you encounter any problems with the model, please let me know... I think the exporter might have messed some of the model up

Cheers,
Anayar

Anayar, would you possibly be able to make me a cell phone video interface? So if the player pulls out the phone (which could be like a weapon), then the player's interface would be like a digital video recorder on a cell phone. I guess what i'm asking is something just like the cell phone from Silent Hill: Shattered Memories... The picture is from that game, and is exactly what i need for my upcoming game. If you can't or don't want to do this, i'll completely understand, as this might be hard to pull off.

EDIT: I don't need it exactly like this, and it doesn't even need to be very detailed. I just need a cell phone video screen.

Cheers, Jake

@Anayar
Nice tree. It's cool how you can climb up in it, good sniping spot.

@King Of Khoas
This would be fairly difficult with the current verison of FPSC. I'm planning on having some items like these in one of our/my next Media Packs, but i don't think it's possible to make what you want. Atleast not yet. This type of weapon/item would need some serious scripting and shader code. I haven't looked into it yet, but i don't believe FPSC can change shader textures in real time, which is what you would need. So this may be possible later down the road for FPSC, just not now.
You could get away with a picture phone that just takes pictures(no video), but it probably wouldn't have a real time screen: Maybe a picture would be shown after you take it and the screen would be black, or would have the previous picture until a new one is taken. That might work, but i don't remember if you can even script an entity to change it's shader textures.
I hope that all makes sense, it's kind of confusing. If i ever get time, which i probably won't until christmas break, i can try and put something togeather. But like i said before, I'll be making loads of these kinds of weapons/items in some of our/my upcoming Media Packs if you can wait that long.

@E007eragon - I fully understand what you're saying. I know it would be difficult, so i would be very grateful if anyone at all made this. I'll definately be looking out for these packs.

@Bruce: Thanks... itd be cool to see an assassins creed like game made with FPSC. Maybe youd jump from branch to branch, and be killed when you hit the ground... gives me ideas

@King of Khoas: I dont know if that is possible, but that gives me ideas too. The model will be easy... its the rest that will be the problem

@Dan the man: Here's one I made for Bruce using that same exact reference picture... tell me if you need anything different: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=175591&b=24&msg=2104634#m2104634

@E007Eragon: Thanks... and man, dont give away all the cool stuff youve been doing (Ill just say that some top members have some competition here )... Look out for our War-Torn Pack King of Khoas, its going to amazing

Cheers,

Thanks Gencheff, means a lot If the flow of requests become unbearable, then ill definitely contact you I still think you should start your own thread, because the quality difference between yours and my models are immense... people should have the chance to have better models...

BTW, did you get a chance to check out that book I was telling you about??

I doubt I'll hold the front for more than 4-5 requests.Not to mention I won't even have the time.Thats probably the main reason I wont start my own thread,but like I said I could help out here when needed.

Its youre choice... Ill do whatever according to the feedback I receive

P.S: For those of you who dont want to go through every page of this thread looking for th media, a website is in the works with all my free media and MUCH more...

Wonderful. Axcept that your texturing needs a bit work. But it's not so bad.
It's great that I get model ideas frome here. Old_schools request made me thinking something medieval.

Thanks Anayar!

Seclusion is still currently waiting for full releases of FPSC 1.18 and WASP mod. Don't worry it's most definately NOT abandoned!

I just don't want to release it with potentially unstable beta versions of the engine and mod; I'd far rather wait for any bugs to be ironed out, so that there are fewer bugs to iron out in the finished game itself!

I'd also rather be in a position to release something that I can be proud of, rather than just release something that looks like it's been rushed, just so that I can say "Look everyone, I've released a game, aren't I clever" lol

I may not be a professional game developer, but that doesn't mean I can't strive to be professional in the way I go about game development!

I hope that makes sense, and I also hope that it doesn't make me appear big headed or anything!

Thanks for all your support for Seclusion, it does mean a lot to me!

is there ambient occlusion in that render? in general its a very good render, but just remember that its the subtleties that make a big difference. also, are the wheels suppose to be the same material as the car.

Hey, amazing work ty..

If you wouldn't mind I need to know one thing.. am having trouble exporting sketchup multi-textured models to FPSC.. here's what I do..

- I export the sketchup model as a 3ds file (it creates the file along with all the images used in texturing)
- I use AC3D to export the 3ds as .x (AC3D opens the model with its textures no problem)

- I copy the .x file along with all the texture files to my entity folder and remove the value for "textured" in the FPE file
here's the fpe file I use for the model

when I add the entity to my map, it's displayed correctly on the working area (fully texture) but when I test the game the entire model gets covered by a single image from the textures images.. how did u fix that or am I doing sth wrong?

TY
