How it this coming along? It reminds me very much of Wolf's Deprivation Direct Action game. At least in a visual aspect it does.

if I were you I'd make damn sure I changed the destroy scripts. ragdoll characters, even 1, prevent enemy respawns, and lag the game very badly. I'd change their death to a simple fadecorpse to prevent lag

your screens look great but it looks like you need to set your
aspectratio=1
in the setup and buildsetup.ini

The guys and other models look wide and squat. Other than that looking good!

Gahh sorry for a long wait guys; fear not, this is not abandoned, not at all
Anyway, I've been working on another level, kind of like chernobyl type I guess. It's not going too great, but it's my first go at a type like this, if it comes down to it I'll think of something else for level 2

Here's a VERY EARLY wip screenshot, just testing out the 'style' so nothing much yet at all.

Like i said, i might not even go with the whole chernobyl theme, it's just a test, but I'll see how it goes; and please do leave some constructive critiscism

Ill get back with more updates sometime this week.

loving the lighting, but it could have a bit more of an "empty" feel if you ask me

Thanks Bugsy
And yeah, I was stressing for a while to have it detailed or rather empty, and eventually I went a bit overdetailed >.<
I'll keep playing around with the chernobyl theme for a while

Also, With MP53, does anyone have any idea how to change the pickup gun key to "F"? Same with ammo, I'm thinking having F as the universal "use" key would be awesome.

Regards,
Jared

New attempt at the chernobyl theme, screens show a wip what used to be park and "town" meeting area, with apartments etc surrounding.

I kinda like where this is going so far - my idea is to have paths/roads whatever that lead off to for example a destroyed electrical service area, etc. The player will have to kill every enemy before they are killed

Anyway, enough jibber jabber, here's the screenshots, C&C?

^ background buildings etc to be added.

I LOVE the layout, but must say, I think that the sky and the lighting don't fit. for chernobyl, I'd do a very whitish grey sky and very greenish blueish greyish lighting. the lights you have here seem too warm.

nice to see when most people think that russian landscapes are always greyish white, dark, more colorless than anywhere else.^^

sorry had to say this, bugsy

i think its a great color-palette for sundown, cool work, jared.
what about some animals like rabbits or deers... or a brownbear roaming around. land around tschernobyl is a paradise for wild animals today, populations regrowed very fast without any visible defaults (no zombie-bears sighted yet^^).
no humans = good places for animals

Level design for Chernobyl would be finished - but Im hitting close to 500k polies without enemies...
I'll see what I can do by getting rid of detail

- If all goes well, video will be up, hopefully in time for Christmas!
