The correct terminology for someone who makes posts ONLY for the purpose of inciting arguments is a "troll." Trolls, on most forums, are banned on sight. Personally, I think what you were talking about warrented insults to get you to stop talking. Especially considering the fact that you're not even arguing something you believe in, you're just arguing to try to get other people to argue.

Pointless.
