The classics of the DOS era. These are to guys that grew up with DOS what Ant Attack, Jetpac, Manic Miner, and Elite were to the guys that grew up with 8-bit computers.

We should really be allowed to name a fave game in each system we own or have owned. I mean it's easy to work out your favourite, it's the game that you wasted the most time playing, but that might have something to do with the platform.

Spectrum: AticAtac
C64: FistII (Way of the eploding fist 2)
Atari ST/E: Captive
MasterSystem: Sonic 1
NES: Snake Rattle and Roll
SNES: Sensible Soccer (comming to your mobile phone soon - I was hoping Sensible Software had'nt gone tit's up)
Megadrive: Kid Chameleon
Gameboy: Dr.Mario
GBA: IK+
PC: Delta Force
Dreamcast: Unreal Tournament
XBox: Halo
PSX: Quake2
PS2: GTA San Andreas
Gamecube: Pikmin

No offense, but saying something like that makes it sound like you don't even know why you were banned in the first place!

MicroMan, was Barbarian the 2d fighter or the platform? Cause there was Barbarian and Barbarians, which I get mixed up a lot. The fighter was great!

I'd say Thief, the first one. It creates the best atmoshphere of any game I've ever played, and I loved the cut scenes. I just started playing a new game this week. Thief 2 was great, but not as creative I think. The story just wasn't as good in my opinion. Thief 3, though not made by Looking Glass, turned out to be pretty good. I was skeptic at first. The gameplay was less linear because there was a main city which you could move about freely. Instead of a menu after each mission where you bought your gear, you had to find a fence(person who sold you stuff) and sell your "aquired" artifacts for money then buy your gear. However, I wasn't too pleased with the climbing gloves replacing the rope arrow, that upset many fans. Overall, it was worth buying. The lighting was great I thought.

He's a few "of all time" ideas to think on:

Thief - Best stealth game series.
Panzer Dragoon Saga - Best RPG.
Total Annihilation - Best RTS.
Project Zero - Scariest game series!
Worms - Most hilarious game series.
Roller Coaster Tycoon - Best business game series.
Max Payne - Coolest game series.
Morrowind: Game of the Year Edition - Largest game.
Shenmue - Most complex game series.
Postal 2 - Most pointlessly fun game.
Rez - Just plain weirdest game in every way imaginable!

I enjoy every minute of it!

Perhaps he doesn't. I know when I was (unfairly) banned from another forum, the idiot that banned me wasn't making any sense (Long story) until I made a formal complaint (and the site admin replied with all the maturity of an chav).

[EDIT] Mouse, please say that was a joke.

Best game of all time? Enter the Matrix.

It is a perilous occupation for TGC to post anything by way of a promise, as the words get etched in indestructable marble for all time.

So why don't you ask? The admins and mods seem decent enough to be able to explain. But that's just me.

The 'official' reason that's listed is:
Quote: "Major trolling, flaming, lying"

However, I don't know the specific circumstances, although a safe bet is to look in the last thread that you posted in that was locked before you were banned. If you think you were unfairly banned, you can email Rich@TheGameCreators.com and depending on whether he can be bothered or not, he'll check it out.
