Raven is quite right.

The daleks first learned to levitate at around this time. Part of the Sylvestor Mccoy years if I am not mistaken.

Check out the Wikipedia entry on Daleks for a reasonably decent summary of them.

Mnem's comments about rice pudding is a reference, unless my memory fails me, to the 7th Doctor (McCoy)'s taunting conversation with Davros at the end of "Remembrance of the Daleks". That was an excellent story. Shame about the stupid big round golf ball that Davros was sitting in. WHAT was he THINKING? Stupid big round golf ball wheelchair things are SO 1971.

Hehe, yes quite right Philip. The rice pudding reference is from that particular Mccoy serial.

If you come to the conference, I'll show Rememberence of the Daleks, from which you can verify the sound

.. you guys really want me at this Conference.
The clip doesn't sound right though, I mean it's like the voice and background sound change completely half way through from a clean recording to someone on a relatively poor mic.

Yeah it does... because it starts out as Davros ranting, then the doctor finishes his sentence
