That's a nice post there Clonkex, full of juicy points. Ah, 'tis fortunate that a nice moderator like me would never abuse his ability to delete posts for points.

[10 minutes later]

Hahahahaha nothing will stop me, all the points will be mine! Mine I tell you!

C'mon Benjamin ol' chum. This ain't 4 Chan, Reddit or just trolling a friend. In the words of Rick Astley, "you know the rules and so do I".

It's meant to be a family friendly forum because we attract people of all ages and all backgrounds. Bear in mind that some parents are quite strict about what their kids watch and view on the internet. And I'm sure I don't wanna be the kid with overtly strict and prudish parents explaining it. Or a moderator with a paranoid and/or prudish partner.

Today I learned || in Javascript doesn't necessarily evaluate to a boolean. That makes it very useful.

I also bought my first commercially-produced 3D printer on Sunday. Got sick of struggling with my home-built one, which, while very rigid and over-engineered, was not the easiest to work with and for some reason constantly got out of calibration. So I bought a CR-10S. Should arrive Thursday.

I've also started saving to buy a paramotor and get the training. It'll be a few years but you gotta start somewhere

Also, The Way of Kings is an incredibly well-written book.

Oh, and I've built a racing quadcopter (or drone, as they're commonly known). So far only crashed it a couple of times with no major damage. Liftoff (the sim) has helped immensely. I should post some footage from it.

Cool, what kind of projects do you have in mind?

None in particular, right now, however I like to make things generally and 3D printers are incredibly useful for that. Actually I do need to print a new GoPro mount for my drone, so that's something I'll do immediately. But I also know there's some interesting-looking wave puzzles I'd like to try printing, and the new printer is much larger than my old one so I'll be able to try some larger prints I've previously wanted to (but I'll have to remember what they were first ).

The printer arrived yesterday but was actually missing a required bag of parts Luckily I can just buy a few bolts at the hardware store and pinch a couple of bits off my old printer and that will work fine until I receive the replacement parts

Do any of you play smash ultimate?

I've been taking it rather seriously for the last 5 months or so. Been going to all of my locals and been visiting as many tournaments as I can. I really like the competitive aspect of the game.

I main Pikachu and have Wolf as my secondary.

I've decided to put a permanent tack into this thread. No longer will it devolve into the depths of the Geek Culture abyss. It will now, and forever more, take it's place at the top of this Board.

Oh yeah....point.
