Hitch hiker's guide to the galaxy, the home by the sea - I do not know of (never read the book), but the separated in two sounds lot like Zaphod (when his head splits, isn't he near the guys of the guys of the cult religion?)...then the 15-4 might be a reference to a passage in the bible of the religion in the book, (the guys who blow their noses instead of praying)
