Well, whatsisface said it would be revealed after X days didn't he? If it was me then I wouldn't care if you named me correctly. I would want to see your working, sort of speak, and want you to see my full masterplan. Mwahaahaha...

Also if it isn't me, then shouldn't you go through these 200 messages and take what I say with a pinch of salt. I mean I may have just been making stuff up for a laugh and never actually have even read what whatsisface said in his clues. Or maybe I know more... But you should seriously see what I have said and what clues come only from that and then make a judgement call. Mwahahahahaha. I mean you remember me, but what's his fake name again?...

Oh, and he posted another clue in the Duality WIP thread. May have posted elsewhere with clues too...

Oh yeah, and who was the last caeser of rome again? Just out of interest...

Mwaahahahahahaha (again)...

Cheers

I'm getting the weird feeling the clues have nothing to do with Roman Empires...

Maybe. Would be pretty evil if it was me though and to give the seed of an idea that my clues are now not so good....

So, last ceaser of Rome, and what si the civilisation that apparently brought them down? Could be helpful, and then again, maybe not... It does all link from page 127 too.

Cheers

Wasn't the last Caesar as Caesar Wrap on the back shelf in Tescos? I mean some of them look like they've been around the Roman times...

BRETHREN OF SALADIN.

Follow my steps and learn MY PATH HAS NO END!
Each step I take paved with CORPSES of my enemies.
Their souls shall HUNT me.

I SHALL HAVE NO PEACE!!!

I have no name. No family. No history.
There are no values to compare.
There are no empires falling.
The keys applied yield your answer.

No.

The ravens are watching me.

4-8

The clues given are the answer required.
This is a game. Let it run.

Nope: not according to wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saladin

Uhm... I'm starting to think it's Dazzag now, really. But I don't see how the clues add up to him, so I think it's not him at the same time.

I'd say from that clue he's either a Muslim or an Egyptian (we do have at least one Egyptian member) or has been in the Iraq war - the other things nobody meets to the criteria...

For Muslims, as far as I am concern Tha_Rami is the only one to have posted in this thread (assuming that the person has posted as themselves) and I don't think it's tha_rami...because if he's screwing us round I can easily tune up the 'the rabi' comments to a point he wishes he was dead Or if it is him and the thread starter comes clean that it is tha_rami, then I'll never call him 'the rabi' and I'll remove it out of my sig.

We know the Roman Empire thing is fake...Dazzag was being cruel...

As for the Ravens comment...There's more than one? Oh God what's this world come to? There aren't enough toggles in the world to accommodate another!

I know...it's Raven...end of story, thank you good bye, danke auf wiedersehen, aragato sayanara, merci...and so on...

If it was me, I wouldn't be posting a clue about me being a muslim, you know. By the way, if it's me you'll tune up the the rabi comments, but if it is me, then you'll never call me the rabi again... Crap. Any other way to get that out of your sig?

Is there a Saladin in any videogame? His earlier clues seem to have been related to games: Duality, Chrono Trigger... I googled it, but couldn't find anything.

Well, that info aided me in finding something on a page I already posted, lol:

* Playing as Saladin makes for one of the single-player campaigns featured in the game Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings and Stronghold: Crusader.

* Saladin is shown as the leader of Arabia in the video game Civilization IV. His traits were "Spiritual" and "Philosophical", these traits had changed to "Spiritual" and "Protective" for the Warlords expansion pack in Civilization IV.

* Saladin is also a nickname given to Big Boss by Sniper Wolf in the video game Metal Gear Solid. Sniper Wolf is a Kurdish soldier born and raised on the battlefield when she claims Saladin came and saved her.

So... Age Of Empires II, Civilization IV and Metal Gear Solid...

@Dazzag: I agree with Seppuku, it seems very unlikely it's you, mostly because I found nothing in any of the clues that would even as little as point to you, except the Dover coast which, seeing Chrono Trigger, Duality and now SH2/AoE2/MGS/Civ4, seems an unlikely thing. I was thinking the marauders one could be Sid Meyers Pirates, or Pirates of Port Royale, or any other pirate game. The Icarus/Daedalus one I don't understand. Might be mythical, after all - he could've hinted at the Bible?

Wasn't Julius the last Caesar? Or was it Domitian?

According to this website the twelve Caesars are (and I still don't see where Dazzag is going with this one, I mention Julius Caesar a while back as Julius Caesar is a member of our forums...)

Now...Dazzag says there's a link to this Roman thing with the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy one the section he mentioned - I researched the Romans and lets see if Dazzag is setting us on the right track...

One problem, I don't own the book, would somebody do the honours?

I'd take a stab that the image is referring to a revenue of income coming from the web. Perhaps web design? The red cross over the dollar sign probably implies a failing business, so someone who does web design but isn't making any money from it?

Not sure who does web design here but I'm sure there are some, or maybe it's just hosting? I know there are definitely a few people here that have hosting services.

Either way, I prefer the visual clues to the random jargon text.

If that is so, then the rest of this was a wild goose chase because I don't see how the rest of his clues could point to a name that random.

Well I hope it is him, so we can finally see what all this is about.

Hmmm. Whatsisface says si instead of is a lot, and you said ni instead of in. Hmmm. Suspicious. Or just similar banana fingers maybe... But then look, the first few lower case letters of the clue start to spell out "Insert". If you get rid of the "w" of course... Hmmm...Oh, and thats an "l".... still, mighty fishy eh?....

There's a d and 2 a's...It's Dazzag because his name has a d and 2 a's...wow!

I don't think I'm anywhere near solving this, so will somebody find the Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy thing and relate it to my list of Roman Emperors...or Dazzag tell us exactly what we're supposed to be looking for there as I can't progress without owning the book.

Perhaps I should look at the other clues and stop with Dazzag's...

Hmm, I think it might be an anagram...

upper case: VEADOVGADID
lower case: lwnsleonfn

Also, when looking up SI and NI, I came to find that SI is the metric system, created by a FRENCH person. NI is said is The Holy Grail movie by monty python (Nights of Ni).

edit:

Under wikipedia, apparently metric notations are lower case, except when the notation is from a person's name (example is Pa, which is named after Blaise Pascal).

I can't find it with the search function on freewebs, nor do I know how to syntax their URL's. Googling the name revealed nothing. Does Freewebs index on Google?

Anyone noticed there's no numbers, or 'key' in this one? He signed with his name this time... I think that's kinda odd, you know.

I'm sure a few people here have sites hosted off freewebs. And with the handy little 'web' button down the bottom of each post, it's just a matter of going through the list that was posted earlier.
