It's two BITF (Biotech Industries Task Force) soldiers talking next to a welcome sign. It's a part of the first level where the player arrives at the facility.

Shots look nice man. I'm on a crappy internet connection right now, so it took about an hour to load them all. lol. Great job. I would suggest that you touch the sign a bit. It looks a little too much like it's an overlay.

Working _I maps would bring this game to life

The second and third screens are looking kind of bland... somehow. The toilets are definately out of place, I don't like that, and the second screen is just uninteresting. Otherwise, awesome. If you ever get bloom working with PBUM it'll look fantastic along with _I maps for all your blue entities.

EDIT: Also, I'm guessing the BITF soldiers are on your side to somne extent?

Well, I've never experienced a toilet to be interesting myself, although I'll be sure to add more entities to make it look better. As for the toilet placement, I'll probrably make a custom segment and use that instead and rearrange the room.

As for the second screen, its just a side room, but ill work on it.

EDIT- As for the BITF, they are private security, hired to get the place secure and the make sure there are no threats.

V1.7, the beta he and I have...

It has the simplest screen shader system to be seen in FPSC yet, you just type what shader you want into a mod.ini file, (i.e., screenshaders/bloom.fx), and it uses it!

If I was ever given the opportunity to remove all the bad from the world, I wouldn't, because for there to be heroism, compassion and all that is good, there must also be all that is bad.

Actually he does inform me very well. PUM Will be only present for Beta Testers and Buyers. It is closed now. And he does not know when he comes back with more updates. Though he will be updating 1.7 slowly with updates for beta testers and buyers.

Ok, I think its time to sign a peace treaty with Lewis. Lewis, your game looks nice, I swear to God that I have no idea I copied anything from yours. But this game looks really nice, the huds nice, the level design, and especially the gun mods - keep it up and I hope this game becomes successful and sells great in the EB Games 20 minutes away from my house.

Looks very good. I also made a C++ aplication with this functions for Soul Island. It is very handy for the user.

Update:

I've decided on making a loader instead of just the options screen. I've tidied up the options screen too.

You may notice that it's kinda fuzzy. Well thats because there is staticness that animates.. I cant explain it really. Guess you'll have to wait and see.

This is going to be a large bump, but why the hell not

Yeah, I'm still working on Alpha Project. I'm just doing a couple of revamps, such as weapon sounds, new scripts and features etc. Some being motion blur, a full scripted death sequence, a healthbar instead of a health numeric, and each weapon will have a 'Press F to pick up' etc. I'm also working on changing the story also as I have a few things in mind that will change the plot, but the base story is going to be the same, so dont worry

I'll add some screenshots of the new HUD in a moment. Please note that the room and stuff in the screenshots do not represent the game in any way, I'm just showing the HUD off.

I have to rework the script and story for the game as I'm just working on the base of the gameplay right now, although I can work on a short level to demonstrate the gameplay if people wish

I really like your huds and all your special things, like new eye hud, fully interactive , and such. But we dont get any really level design to see of you. And the levels in Alpha Project Trailer, are pretty plain, and not actually "new". But i gues you are hard working on it, and keep it up.

PS: I do like your riggin though. And ofcourse your motion blur bloom and huds. All cool...

Yeah, to be honest, that is what I suck most at. I've been collecting some really good ideas off people and I'll put them into practice when making the game. I'm just trying to get everything sorted first, like the storyline and the script (for the voice actors), and then I'll be able to invest my time in the level design.

If anyone has any tips on how to make my levels better, please dont hesitate to tell me, also, the same goes for any crits. If you dont like the levels I've done so far, please tell me what you dont like about them so I can correct it later on.

I'd say that one of the most important things is lighting (and please don't make another "everything has to be nearly black to be scary" environment). Proper lighting (especially lighting that lines up with an actual object as a source) is key to showing off your level and entities. I haven't seen too much colored lighting to add ambience and character to a level....yet.

One of the best things to do is look around. Does your house, office, warehouse, hospital, etc; have their lighting placed a certain way? Is the lamp placed in the middle of the wall, or near the edges?

I think some people place lighting as an afterthought...instead of an enhancement to the levels.

Honestly; if those last two pictures weren't showcased here, I wouldn't have thought they were from FPSC...mainly because of the class A weapons (EAI's) and custom HUDs (as well as the new custom "Death HUD").

I think we all know that if the demo goes well, this will be BOTB. I like all the small touches you've added to take away that generic feel which FPSC gives. I agree, get your hands on Project Blue 1.7 asap for some bloom to greatly enhance your game. Speaking of which, you can set the bloom effects into the Options menu too, seeming as it is turned on through an external file. Keep up the good work.

I already have 1.7 I toned down the bloom because it was too powerful, but it's there.
