Dont expect me to do the lines for most for you guys, as I'm doing AP, not a voice service

Well, I needed some sort of excuse to have the 300th comment, now didn't I.

Update:

Here's some screenshots of the demo levels with the new graphical overhaul. The light quality is at 25% in the screenshots due to me wanting to build the levels fast to test, so expect the quality to be a lot more when its finished!

Awesome to see your back and in the first screen the thing with the red and blue lights? Does it have an animated shader thing?

@PW Productions,

I'm not using those textures. As you can see I'm using assets I bought and added in myself.

Oh right thanks. I tried CoZ's shader on EAI's weapons and they didn't work for me. Probably my low-end card

My, oh my!

Lewis man, with each new screenshot I can clearly see you developing as a level designer. In other words they get better and better.

Keep it up!

@LandShark/PW Productions,

The only thing I'd do demo wise is update the demo with the new segments and maybe new entities. It'd be the same as the origonal demo but with better graphics.

This is because that theres some things I dont want to show in a demo and im working on the full game.

It's funny actually, because the characters dont come with any shader attached to them or any maps, but I could make the maps I reckon. Does anyone have any idea of a decent shader I could use?

There's a new bumpbone.fx shader in the 2_0 shader folder (that comes with the latest update) in the effectbank that works and looks really good. Supports normal mapping, specularity, self-illumination and transparency.

@Roger Wilco,

Thanks mate, I'll take a look into it!

@Soviet176,

I dont have any plans as of yet to redo a beta until I do the levels that go up to where the demo starts off. I'm working on the full game you see, but when I work up to the demo levels and redo them, then I will make another demo. As for now, I'm busily working on the beginning levels of the game.

Lewis. This REALLY is my most favourite looking FPSC Game EVER! Looks amazing and with all of the custom work you have put into it I think it would have a good chance with being sold commercially.

Keep it up man!

Update for everyone:

I will be travelling from tommorow morning for a week. This means I wont be able to do any updates on Alpha Project. I'll be bringing a notepad with me and I'll be taking notes and planning while im away, but dont think that it's died because I havent responded! I should be able to get on with my phone to check on how the threads coping.

Any ideas would be brill! Also, feel free to use the thread to chat about the game in terms of ideas, storyline etc.

I'll be doing updates until tommorow.

Hey guys, still on my road trip. I've been sketching on a notepad of some ideas of what I could do. I've thought up a numerous amount of scenes in the chapters of the game.

Some of these includes:
Hallucination scenes,
Bigger envrioments,
Unique puzzles

It's hard to work on a game when you have no computer, but I'm still jotting down stuff I can do when I get back

Hang in there guys I'll be back home next monday to continue more Alpha Project work!

Great, great work. Love those segments - they ad a lot to a SciFi atmo. Would be really cool to have some higher-poly chars running around in them!

I'm really looking forward to what you can come up with .

Nice screens btw. One of the first FPSC games (?) where the environments look awesome without a huge amount of entities. (Did I say that already in this thread? Can't remember, lol)
