Errant AI: Thanks Jake, Actually the model fits around the segments like a shell. The floors, and rooms in the boat are made up of the segments, so there are no collision problems at all. The boat is made up of the hull (shell), and 3 mast pieces. A small manual will be included to show how to set it up.

It can be put together in less than 5 min.

chidem: Cool. I'll do mine with the coat closed to save me a lot of time, and extra work.

Awesome Thanks! I'll add it as well. I really like this one. You can almost picture yourself being there. Too Cool!

Ok, I've made the coat longer in the back, and redone the sword. I think he's ready to map.

I found them, I have two skyboxes with stormy sea themes.
Here's a quick image.

Perhaps they will fit the pack?

What Id like to see is having the ability to build ones own ships, so one has either segments or entities and one can snap them together and build a pirate ship, and have the agility to make the ship how ever big or small one chooses.

Would also need a gang plank to link ships together, and a boarding ramp so one can get on and off the ship. Also would be good if one can build a complete ship, so one can view it from on the ship, and off the ship.

Fallen one: Wow! Those look great! Either one would go great with Nickydude's creaking ship in a storm audio.

Quote: "What Id like to see is having the ability to build ones own ships, so one has either segments or entities and one can snap them together and build a pirate ship, and have the agility to make the ship how ever big or small one chooses. "

Hmmm. That would take a lot of fancy segment work. It would be hard, but I think it could be done. Making the pieces out of entities would be a real challenge because of the collision issues I've faced in the past. Running across multiple entities sometimes locks the player in place where the two meet.

I plan to build a gangplank that will go from a dock to the boat.

Kravenwolf said he might take on that bit, But if he cant for some reason, I'll build them, and add them in.

I wish there was a way to simulate the rocking of the boat on water.

Red Eye: Sounds good bro. all are welcome!

thenerd: We thanks you mate!

This one has the sword on his belt, and can be armed with a pistol, or rifle. I will make a second without it so he can fight with the sword in hand.

Here's the pistol. The rifle is on the way.

Would someone who can rig weapons with hands, like to give it whirl. It would'nt look right without them. And I don't know how to do that yet.

Mods, If the request is out of line, let me know, and I'm sorry. (I am offering a few models here though).}

LOL, Thanks Torrey, Just as the thread states, just giving 'em a "sneak peak!"

FPSC has needed this stuff for awhile now, When finnished a lot of this stuff can be used to make other period games besides pirate based ones.

Heltor: Hey great. I had planned to include the soldiers, and a few dead pirates. But to include a regular pirate would make good sense too.

Thanks.

AdrianoJones Wannabe: Sorry for the late reply to your post, I am trying to keep up though. Anything you can come up with, I'll be more than happy to consider it for the pack. And Thank you!

The Storyteller 01: Our good friend DJMaster offered to lend a hand, (pun intended) But I think he told me once he didn't do hands, I could be wrong, I'll have to drop him an e-mail, and ask. I just don't think it would look right without hands because of the way the gun is designed.

Quote: "Plus I'm making 1 or 2 of these guys. Well something similar anyway. (see screenshot)."

Arrgh, Please do as they did and make the bones just textured instead of the shape of the torso.
That allows for other textures besides just the bones. (living pirates, arrrgh)

Arrgh, the vessel looks great mate, she's a real beauty!
I can't wait to kil.. I mean sail with the new Captain, and see where we can take her. Arrrgh!

Arrrgh, I would offer to do yer hands fer yer hand gun, but the reload would be a test of my skilz, and I'm afraid the animations may fall short of the models quality. Arrrgh!

Thanks Conjured. The animation for the reload could be an off-screen lock, and load sound effect or something. It would be way too complicated to to do a full reload animation on a weapon like this, same for the rifle.

I'm hopeful someone will have the time and inspiration to take on the task. I'll have the pistol textured by tommorow. and I'll get started on the rifle.

And even if no one wants to do it, they can still be used as props until we can get some flintlock weapons in the FPSC arsenal.

We'll just have to battle with our steel instead, Aaaargh!

CoffeeGrunt: That would be a simple texture variation. I'll do 1, or 2 if have time.

Edit:

sent you an e-mail.

Nickydude: Might you have something that could be used in an old tavern. Maybe with an acordian or other period type music in the background?

And if your feeling generous, maybe a reload sound that would be suitible for the guns that could be heard while the weapon reloads off screen, as Heltor pointed out?

I see you have a nice gun, nice soldier type of charachter and all other kind of models. Is there pirate characters too? Or did I miss them? But model pack is great so far. Sooo... I can do almost nothing, but huds I can do. want any. Loading screen huds, pointers, life huds, health, anything? I'd liek to help. If not, then that's okay...

Nickydude: Yeah, that would be great. I want to include some models for a pirate tavern. ( A place to go to get information, etc.) Or it could be an empty tavern save for a barkeep or something.

So I guess, either way would work. I kinda want to get the atmosphere of such a place. The music dosn't have to be loud or anything. I'll leave it to you. Thanks.

Metal Devil123: I hope so, I'm having problems with exporting my characters from Milkshape. It's happened before, It might be that Milkshape, and my Mac don't like each other when it comes to that.

Sure put some stuff together so I can see what you have in mind, and send them to me, I'd be glad to consider them for the pack.
